What You'll Do as a Construction Safety Specialist
As a Construction Safety Specialist at North Coast Holdings, you'll:
* Work directly with project and crew leadership to ensure consistent use of safety systems, programs, and processes• Engage crews to define processes that motivate teams toward shared goals• Partner with Project Managers to develop project specific safety plans during mobilization and throughout the project lifecycle• Trend safety data to identify and recommend targeted improvement strategies• Collaborate with leadership to identify gaps and implement solutions• Support hazard identification and control efforts with a high level of accuracy• Conduct risk assessments, assist with incident investigations, and develop corrective actions• Build processes that reduce and eliminate repeat incidents• Audit job sites with a focus on behaviors and conditions that reflect best in class standards• Support customer specific safety needs and expectations• Assist leadership with developing and delivering safety training and toolbox talks• Encourage and support proactive near miss reporting• Assist with milestone recognition programs that highlight leading safety activities• Promote enthusiasm for safety through innovative ideas and engagement tactics• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Affairs, or related field, or equivalent experience• Three or more years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety with at least two years in construction; five years preferred• Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (NFPA, OSHA, EPA, ANSI)• OSHA 510 and 500 preferred• BCSP certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, or STS C preferred• Knowledge of Human Performance principles• Bilingual in English and Spanish is an advantage• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work effectively in both office and outdoor field environments• Self starter with strong interpersonal skills and a continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities
What You'll Do as a Trimmer
As a Trimmer at Lewis Tree Services, you'll build foundational skills in utility vegetation management and provide support for tree trimming and line clearing operations serving utility companies and other clients.
* Ground-level and aloft tree pruning, felling, and vegetation removal to maintain clearance around power lines and equipment (includes climbing or aerial lift work under supervision and proper training).
* Operate chainsaws, chippers, and similar equipment; use handlines to lower limbs and equipment; fell and rig trees.
* Assist with job site set up, maintenance, rigging, traffic control, and general job site cleanup.
* Support job site safety by spotting, assisting climbers, and communicating hazards.
* Apply herbicides in accordance with company and legal guidelines.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do as a Crew Leader
As a Crew Leader at Lewis Services, you will oversee and manage a crew performing utility vegetation management, ensuring safe and efficient tree trimming and line clearing operations for the utility and other customers.
* Supervise daily tree crew operations and ensure safe, efficient work practices, including training, onboarding, coaching, discipline, and ensure high-quality and efficient job performance.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do as a Groundperson
As a Groundperson at Lewis Services, you'll be on the right hand of our tree crews, supporting vegetation management for utility partners and various other customers.

The role will be on-site in Richfield, OH. This position may take many forms as the role is developed and will require a motivated self-starter who can identify key tasks and items necessary for operational success. Job Duties
What You'll Do:
* Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
* Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
* Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
* Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
* Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
* Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
* Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications
What We're Seeking:
* Love of the outdoors
* Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
* Required: Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
* Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
* Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
* Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Worker, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
