The officer operates multi-line telephone systems, radio consoles, and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to ensure the timely and effective dispatching of emergency and support services. The individual must exercise initiative and sound judgment within procedural boundaries when dealing with emotional and high stress calls in a variety of situations. This position reports to the E-911 Director.
