    The Dermatology Specialist Clinical Assistant functions as a member of the patient care team, contributing to the health management of the patients; performs a variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for Clinic patients, many in assistance to section physicians and under the direction and supervision of the Practice Manager; maintains primary responsibility for all technical procedures and the operation and care of the nursing unit in the department. Contributes to patient and department compliance with Federal and all other health plans with patient management objectives. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; certification from an accredited medical assisting program or medical assistant training/experience preferred; medical terminology; experience working with computers; experience working with the public; typing skills at least 55 wpm; CPR certified; two years medical experience; excellent communication skills.
