The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs routine and complex nuclear imaging procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, while ensuring patient safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance. New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Ensure patient safety and provide supportive care tailored to individual patient and family needs.
Conduct quality control on imaging equipment and comply with all regulatory and hospital safety standards.
Assist with maintaining daily operations of the nuclear medicine department and report equipment malfunctions.
Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork and pursue ongoing professional development aligned with hospital core values.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree; Allied Health
License/Certification:
Registered by the Certification Nuclear Medicine Technological (CNMT) and/or American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the CNMT/CT and/or ARRT certification
BLS certification.
Advanced CT licensure is required within one year with a 6 month grace period from date of hire.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Responsibilities
Rooming patients: Collecting pertinent information regarding the patient's chief complaint, family history, social history, surgical history, and medication reconciliation upon arrival for a patient visit. Gathering information and maintaining patient information via telephone per department specific processes and policies. Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, patient check in or check out, prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, verification of benefits, and coordination of referrals and testing. May perform procedures such as urine catheterizations, bladder scanning, suture or staple removal, application or removal of casts at the direction of a provider, reading results of negative TB skin tests or steering patient to the care of a department nurse when TB screening appears to have indications of a positive read, and other diagnostic testing at the point of care. Provide patient with written instructions regarding procedures, medications, or follow up instructions at the direction of the provider. Administer medications per the provider order. Provide assistance with prescription medication refills per department protocols. Call medications into pharmacies, notify patients of refills, and documents actions within the EMR per provider orders. Provides Patient Care: Accurately measures and records height, weight vital signs (temp, pulse, respiration, BP). Completes medication reconciliation. Administers Vaccinations. Assists providers with procedures and treatment. Performs audiometry, spirometry, respiratory mask fits, EKGs and phlebotomy. Performs ear washes and dressing changes. Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident. Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provides range of motion and passive exercises. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
The NA aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Colorado: Depending on facility, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment required.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license.
