Lexmark CEO and leadership

Allen Waugerman is president and chief executive officer of Lexmark International. He was named to this position in May 2019.​

Since November 2016, Waugerman had been senior vice president and chief technology officer, responsible for Lexmark’s global research and development operations. In November 2018, Waugerman was named chairman of an executive management committee to lead Lexmark during the search for a new chief executive officer. He also served on this committee in 2017.​

Previously, Waugerman spent five years as vice president and general manager of global supplies sales and marketing. In that role, he was responsible for the marketing and sales of aftermarket supplies and services offerings. Before that, he served as general manager of small workgroup laser products. ​

Waugerman has been with Lexmark since its inception in 1991, holding various staff and management positions. He began his career with IBM in 1989, where he worked on a number of manufacturing and printer development projects.​

He is a Dean’s Advisory Council member for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering and serves on the board of the YMCA of Central Kentucky. ​

Waugerman holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kentucky. ​

Brock Saladin is senior vice president and chief commercial officer for Lexmark International. He is responsible for meeting the needs of Lexmark’s customers and partners worldwide for products, supplies, solutions and services and creating effective go-to-market strategies.

In 2017, Saladin served as chair of an executive management team that led Lexmark during the search for a new chief executive officer.

Prior to assuming his current role in November 2016, Saladin was vice president and general manager of global channel sales and marketing for Lexmark’s former Imaging Solutions and Services division, responsible for developing Lexmark’s global channel strategy and implementing best practices to ensure execution. Before that, he was vice president and general manager of global supplies sales and marketing.

Saladin joined Lexmark in 1996 and has held a variety of executive positions in supplies, OEM and finance.

Before Lexmark, Saladin served as director of strategic planning and acquisitions for Gardner Denver Inc. and held various marketing and finance roles with Conoco Inc.

Saladin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Murray State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri.

Butler has been with Lexmark for more than 15 years and has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, sales operations, and business analytics. Most recently he served as vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis. Prior roles include vice president of Sales Operations and Business Analytics, director of Corporate Finance, and senior manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. He joined Lexmark in 2004 as a senior financial analyst.

Prior to joining Lexmark, Butler worked in finance roles at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, LG&E and KU Energy, and the J. Peterman Company. He holds a bachelor's degree in in accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Sharon Votaw is senior vice president and chief human resources officer for Lexmark International.

Prior to assuming her current role in November 2016, Votaw served as vice president of global compensation, benefits and HRIS. In that position, she was responsible for the design and administration of worldwide executive and employee compensation programs, global benefits strategy, operational management of U.S. benefits, global mobility programs, and support of the global human resources information system.

Votaw joined Lexmark’s human resources department in 2005 and has held a number of roles including HR director for the company’s former Enterprise Software division. Prior to HR, she spent 13 years in Lexmark’s accounting organization, including serving as U.S. controller.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a certified public accountant.

Thomas Eade is a Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Lexmark at Lexmark and is based in United States. He has worked as Director Ink Jet Technology Development at Lexmark, Vice President Research And Development at Lexmark, and Industry Director - Global Insurance & Banking at Lexmark. Thomas attended University of Michigan Ross School of Business between 2011 and 2012 and University of Kentucky between 1989 and 1992.

Over 25 years experience in high tech industry, both in research and development and operations.

Responsible for worldwide supply chain strategy and operations including demand/supply planning, global sourcing, hardware and supplies manufacturing, distribution and logistics and Shared Services Center. Also responsible for corporate real estate strategy and management.

Have been elected to Board of Directors of Hooker Furniture.

Brent Lambert is senior vice president, chief legal and compliance officer, and secretary of Lexmark International, Inc. He is responsible for the company’s worldwide legal operations as well compliance, internal audit, government affairs and security.

From November 2018 to May 2019, Lambert served on an executive management committee that led Lexmark during the search for a new chief executive officer.

Prior to assuming his role as chief legal officer in July 2017, Lambert served as the company’s chief intellectual property counsel, where he was responsible for managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio and strategy. He joined the company in 1998.

Before joining Lexmark, Lambert worked in private practice at the law firm of Moore & Van Allen PLLC in Durham, North Carolina.

Lambert holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida and a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.

Vishal Gupta was appointed as Senior Vice President, Chief Information and Technology Officer in February of 2021. Gupta joined Lexmark from Unisys, where he led a team of more than 1,500 engineers and was responsible for all products and platforms. Before joining Unisys in 2018, Gupta served as senior vice president of engineering at Symantec Corporation, overseeing global teams for end-to-end engineering, architecture and product management for multiple product lines across security software offerings.

Prior to his tenure at Symantec, Vishal was chief product and IoT officer for Silent Circle, a cybersecurity and privacy company in the mobile communications space. He previously held senior leadership roles with Cisco Systems, including vice president of Vertical IoT Solutions.

Gupta holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India, a master’s degree in computer engineering from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer scholar.
