It was clear that Liverpool had lost their way under Brendan Rodgers and he was replaced in October 2015 by former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp, an exciting appointment that was met with huge praise by the supporters.
The first match under the expanded Main Stand saw Liverpool beat Leicester City 4-1 in a Premier League match in September 2016.
