**Position Purpose:**

This position can be based out of the Louisville or Lexington location.

The Key Account Manager I position is responsible for managing relations and providing technical guidance to, consultation, and interpretation to industrial, commercial, school districts, defense, and public-sector customers (annual revenues of $200k to $10M) across a wide range of topics including engineering, regulatory, rates, billing, power quality, and account services. This position supports the customer by assisting customers with technical and regulatory opportunities, such as business growth, expansion real-time operations, generation of new service contracts, and manages communication related to billing power and gas supply The Account Manager ensures all services are provided in accordance with company rules, regulations, policies, and goals, while maintaining/enhancing relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience. This position also, serves as the company representative on economic development projects and assists community economic development partners to best position new or expanding company locations within LG&E and KU Energy's service territory.

Performs engineering assignments associated with the design, estimation, construction, performance enhancement, cost effectiveness, operation, and maintenance of various gas facilities, equipment, and systems.

Performs detailed and/or routine engineering assignments involving hydraulic modeling, established calculations, tests, data gathering, correlation and analysis. Performs a variety of routine tasks to become familiar with the engineering methods, practices, and software programs used by the company. Includes identifying opportunities for improvement of established policies and procedures.

Supports various gas operations and construction groups with engineering-based problem identification, analysis, and resolution. Assigned periodic weeks to provide afterhours engineering support to gas operations.

Interprets and utilizes DOT/KY PSC, OSHA, EPA, and gas industry regulations, procedures, policies and guidelines.

Represents the Company in industry organizations (i.e. Kentucky Gas Association, Southern Gas Association, American Gas Association, and other industry bodies). Assists with development of responses for informational requests from industry organizations.

Serve on cross functional teams with other departments & lines of business or assists other engineers with large projects.

Occasionally directs the activities of coops, supervisors, and others as they perform various activities.
