Join us and help shape the future of Lhoist North America. POSITION SUMMARY: This position performs inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on all plant operating equipment. Maintenance workers are responsible to keep the mechanical equipment reliable while supporting the 24/7 plant operations. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Maintenance Perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on all plant operating equipment. Conducts accurate PMs. Must be able to troubleshoot, service and repair all plant operating equipment. Must be able to disassemble and rebuild all types of crushing, screening, and conveying equipment. Understand the installation and maintenance of all types of bearings. Perform shaft alignments using precision tools. Knowledge of pneumatic systems Able to use equipment manuals, parts lists or blueprints to properly install, repair, or order parts. Process knowledge of the CMMS System to ensure that work orders and checklists are complete accurately. Inventory Ensure all inventory parts are correctly charged from store Ensure all parts are available before starting job. Safety Must be well versed on all aspects of safety. Comply with company, state, and governmental health and safety regulations at all times. Complete and document Workplace Inspections in a timely manner. Ensure maintenance tools are kept in good condition, repaired or replaced when necessary. Training Upgrade skills by participating in vendor and company-designated training. Train on any new equipment installations. ATTRIBUTES: Must have welding experience. Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills. Must be able perform basic mathematical computations Ability to detect potential problems through observation in the field. Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes. Must have a telephone and be open to callouts Self-Motivated and must be able to work independently Good decision-making skills regarding safety Knowledge of basic computer skills. Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired. Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as work orders, blueprints, mechanical drawings, safety rules, standard operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the lime industry. Nobody is to leave without checking in with production. Nobody is to leave while work is going on in plant without permission from supervisor or manager. If not available you will stay until all work from department is done. PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise, and dust. Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. Able to lift over 50 pounds. Workday or shift work and also be able to take call out as needed. Work as needed if there are issues with equipment in the plant after normal hours or weekends. REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 3+ years mechanical experience including welding, equipment alignments, equipment troubleshooting, reading of blueprints and mechanical drawings. PREFFERED EXPERIENCE: Completion of an apprenticeship program, technical program, or equivalent experience in industrial background.
