As a Tribal Liaison, you serve as a bridge between tribal communities and Pinnacle Treatment Centers to enhance culturally responsive mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services. You will be involved in building relationships with tribal leaders, community members, and service providers to improve access, engagement, and outcomes for Indigenous individuals seeking behavioral health support to improve quality of life.

$80k/year to $100k/year

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, psychology, or a related field
Proven track record of establishing and maintaining relationships with Tribal Governments and Executives to assist with navigating services.
Possesses demonstrated experience in community engagement and outreach with Tribal Governments
Must possess a current valid driver's license in good standing in state of employment and be insurable by the designated carrier. This role is required to drive for company purposes.
Travel at least 75% will be required for this role with the ability to travel to tribal communities when needed.

Education & Training
Provide training to teammates on Indigenous perspectives, historical trauma,

Facilitate discussions and workshops on destigmatizing mental health and substance use within tribal communities.
Case Management & Client Support
Assist Indigenous individuals and families in navigating behavioral health services, including referrals and care coordination.
Advocate for tribal patients in accessing appropriate treatment and recovery support.
Work with the medical and clinical teams to integrate traditional healing practices into treatment plans when appropriate.
Data Collection & Reporting
Gather feedback from tribal communities to assess needs and service effectiveness.

Job Summary

Key Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule, conduct and evaluate:
Rape and sexual assault awareness events.
Workshops/community education presentations.
Self-defense workshops and seminars to service clubs, churches, schools, businesses, and community groups to raise awareness in the community.
40 hour Sexual Assault Certification.
Maintain awareness of special community events, recreational or cultural resources of other activities that may provide exposure to departmental and agency services.
Develop and distribute education and outreach materials such as newsletter, information flyers, brochures and cards to community agencies and businesses.
Develop education & outreach events to occur during Sexual Assault Awareness Month
Provide crisis intervention services to sexual assault victims as well as to family and friends of that individual.
Provide short-term peer counseling to victims of sexual assault victims as well as to family and friends of that individual.
Responsible for referring individuals to appropriate community resources for additional assistance and counseling.
Document follow-up/advocacy/ accompaniment services provided to sexual assault survivors and their significant others.
Maintain records and files and complete necessary paperwork.
Submit regular monthly reports.
Attend all necessary meetings, conferences and workshops as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in social services

Primary Responsibilities
Schedule and conduct CARES in-home visits including patient health, home environmental, needs, and other assessment tools, and asthma education.

Assist clients in developing a plan of action to address asthma triggers prioritized in the home environmental remediation recommendations.

DROP (Deferred Retirement Option Program): an optional, voluntary program that allows an employee to deposit retirement benefits in a special savings account within the Retirement System while continuing to work for the City of Fresno for up to 10 years. Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree that is acceptable within the United States accredited college or university system.
Experience: Four (4) years of professional experience in media communications, public relations, project management, planning and development, housing, public works programs or a related field.

This role requires experience working with individuals, families, including children and adolescents, in culturally responsive, community-based settings.

Location: The person in this position works from different worksites in Madera County's valley communities.
Required Travel: Ability to travel locally and up to 100 miles throughout Madera County.

Outreach and Education:
Identify and secure potential sites and groups to conduct educational workshops and wellness activities to meet the programs goals.
Proactively conduct outreach and educational activities to inform community members in culturally and linguistically relevant ways.
Participate in town halls, back-to-school events, holiday activities, tabling events, or similar events to connect with local families, engage them with educational materials, and identify gaps in existing resources.
Speak to groups in person and through a virtual platform, such as Zoom.

Maintain awareness of special community events, recreational or cultural resources of other activities that may provide exposure to departmental and agency services.

Provide crisis intervention services to sexual assault victims as well as to family and friends of that individual.

Responsible for referring individuals to appropriate community resources for additional assistance and counseling.
Document follow-up/advocacy/ accompaniment services provided to sexual assault survivors and their significant others.
Maintain records and files and complete necessary paperwork.
