The Industrial Dairy Supply Chain Lead will ensure the seamless execution of supply chain activities across our dairy operations, acting as the primary counterpart to customers on supply chain topics. This role balances commercial commitments with operational execution, overseeing inbound milk management, production scheduling, inventory flow, and outbound logistics. This position plays a critical part in translating customer expectations into operational delivery, driving both reliability and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Customer & Business Development Interface:
Serve as the main supply chain contact for customers, handling escalations and ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively.
Collaborate with the Business Development Director and commercial teams to translate customer forecasts and contracts into executable supply plans.
Provide regular service level reporting and proactively identify risks to customer satisfaction.
Planning & Scheduling:
Lead the short- and medium-term production planning, aligning raw milk intake with customer demand and plant capacity.
Optimize schedules for efficiency, service levels, and cost effectiveness.
Maintain rolling forecasts and adjust plans dynamically based on milk supply variability and customer order changes.
Inbound Milk & Plant Coordination:
Oversee the inbound raw milk process from suppliers/cooperatives, ensuring volumes, quality, and timing meet requirements.
Align intake with plant operations to secure continuous production flows.
Track milk supply versus forecast, escalating deviations and proposing corrective actions.
Supply Chain Operations & Logistics:
Manage inventory, warehousing, and outbound distribution of finished dairy products.
Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) deliveries to customers.
Support cost efficiency and sustainability initiatives across the supply chain.
Performance & Continuous Improvement:
Define and monitor KPIs such as service levels, OTIF, plant utilization, and inventory turns.
Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, supply reliability, and operational responsiveness.
Partner cross-functionally (operations, quality, finance, BD) to strengthen the end-to-end supply chain.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Dairy/Food Science, or related field.
5-7+ years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or logistics, ideally in dairy or food processing.
Strong track record of customer service and escalation management.
Proficiency with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of dairy supply dynamics and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Customer Service

Summary:

About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic and analytical Milk Buying/ Assistant Manager to lead our milk procurement operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building trust with dairy farmers, navigating supply chain complexities, and turning data into actionable insights. You'll be the bridge between our factory and the farms that fuel it.
Key Responsibilities
Farmer Relations
Develop and maintain strong partnerships with local dairy farmers
Negotiate milk contracts and ensure fair, transparent pricing
Monitor farm compliance with quality and sustainability standards
Procurement Strategy
Forecast milk demand and manage supply planning
Optimize milk sourcing to balance cost, quality, and logistics
Collaborate with logistics and production teams to ensure timely delivery
Data & Analysis
Analyze market trends, milk pricing, and farm performance
Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for leadership
Use data to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply risks
Define and monitor KPIs such as service levels, OTIF, plant utilization, and inventory turns
Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and operational responsiveness
Communication & Presentation
Create and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and external partners
Communicate clearly across departments and with farmer networks
Represent the company at industry events and farmer meetings
Partner cross-functionally (operations, quality, finance, RD) to strengthen the end-to-end supply chain.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
5-7+ years of experience in supply chain management, production planning, or logistics
Dairy Experience is a must
Experience working with farmers is a must
Strong track record of customer service and escalation management.
Proficiency with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of dairy supply dynamics and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Proven experience working directly with dairy farmers or in agricultural procurement
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel to farms and industry events locally and internationally as required
