Liberty Bank N.A. CEO and leadership

William A. Valerian, Chairman, President and CEO, joined the Bank as a Director in 2001, was elected Chairman of the Board in June of 2003 and was appointed CEO in January of 2004. A veteran of the banking industry since 1969, Mr. Valerian was formerly Director of Mortgage Consulting for Smythe Cramer Realty's HMAC, was the Director of the Muldoon Center for Entrepreneurship at John Carroll University, the President of Charter One Investor Services, a subsidiary of Charter One Financial, Inc. He held positions of CEO, COO and Chief Loan Officer (CLO) at Home Bank and CEO and COO of Haverfield Corporation, holding company of Home Bank.

Adam T. Cook, SVP/Chief Administration Officer, joined the Bank in 2006. A seasoned banking professional, Mr. Cook is responsible for the management of the Bank’s retail and commercial loan servicing and administration, loan documentation, student lending and oversight of the Bank's loan portfolio. Prior to joining Liberty, he spent ten years working in the financial services technology industry. He also served as Compliance Officer, Deposit Operations Administrator, and Chief Information Officer with another local community bank. He brings more than 25 years of banking and technology expertise to Liberty. Mr. Cook earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio.

Craig Reay, EVP/Chief Credit Officer joined the bank in 2011. Mr. Reay is a credit professional with over 35 years of active involvement as a bank officer and national bank examiner. He has extensive experience in all facets of credit administration: loan decision making; underwriting/structuring; financial analysis; loan review/problem credit identification; troubled loan collection/workout and regulatory relations/compliance. Mr. Reay is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending Graduate School sponsored by the American Bankers Association. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio.

Richard C. Ebner, CPA, GCMA, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, joined the Bank in 2004. Mr. Ebner is directly responsible for the financial and operational aspects of the bank and brings more than forty years of banking experience to the job, primarily in the Cleveland area. Mr. Ebner was previously CFO of DeepGreen Bank, an internet-only bank, prior to that he acted as COO, CFO and Treasurer of both Haverfield Corporation and Home Bank. He also served in supervisory officer capacities at Charter One Bank and Society National Bank (now Key Bank). He graduated from John Carroll University with a BS/BA degree in Accounting.
