Description
As a Machine Operator I with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely producing quality corrugated products for our customers. You will work within a small group, and as an operator you will help be a leader within your crew to maximize machine efficiencies by setting up orders correctly, performing quality checks and communicating issues.
This full-time position reports directly to a Production Supervisor and is located at our Brooklyn Park, MN, manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specifications, following order readiness process of efficiently preparing the right tools to complete the job.
* Perform quality checks by inspecting a first article, and articles throughout the order to identify errors, ensuring quality product along with monitoring equipment and raw materials.
* Enter production metrics into a computer electronic system to accurately track progress of production rates, quality, maintenance, and downtime.
* Proactively communicate issues with equipment to appropriate leaders, trouble shoot issues, and problem solve individually and as a team to maximize overall equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
* Provides guidance and assistance to Assistant Machine Operators, as needed.
* Intermittently assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with maintenance team.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area by following post order cleaning process.
* Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for the machine center.
* Other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution AND 2+ years of work experience within a manufacturing environment OR 3+ years manufacturing or comparable experience in place of education.
* Previous experience with computers, including typing, printing, and data entry.
* Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
* Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Experience with reading a tape measure to within 1/16" measurement.
* Experience within the corrugated or paper industry
* Experience with operational excellence or continuous improvement programs - Lean 6 Sigma, Kaizen Events
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay range for this position is $24.43 - $27.14 per hour, plus hourly shift differential pay (If applicable). The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.

As a member of the Safco Leadership Team, the Director of Operations plays a strategic role in overseeing the overall operational performance across engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and our distribution center (DC). This position collaborates closely with business teams and enterprise initiatives to promote cross-business alignment and value sharing.
The Director of Operations leads functions in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality assurance, safety, business systems, supply chain management and distribution. They ensure seamless coordination between our plant, distribution center, and suppliers to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role promotes a positive safety culture, upholds rigorous quality standards, and fosters continuous improvement through data-driven processes and operational excellence.
In partnership with others, the Director of Operations is responsible for both short-term and long-term planning. They assess emerging systems, capital investments, new technologies, and risks associated with obsolescence. This evaluation ensures that assets, priorities, and capabilities are aligned with Safco's strategic goals.
This position reports to the SVP of Safco at our New Hope, MN location.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Set strategic direction for operations: Lead development and execution of short‑ and long-term strategies across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and distribution to achieve operational excellence and business goals.
* Establish and monitor KPIs: Refine role-aligned KPIs for engineering, production, quality, logistics, and DC performance; use data analytics to drive accountability, prioritize work, and continue the acceleration of continuous improvement.
* Champion safety and EHS partnership: Partner with EHS to embed a unified safety culture across all sites and DC; ensure safety metrics, training, incident reduction programs, and leadership visibility make people safety an uncompromised priority.
* Optimize business systems and digital enablement: Together with IT, select, implement, and govern business systems processes and tools (ERP, MES, WMS, PLM) and workflow tools that connect engineering, manufacturing, quality, and Supply Chain; build business cases and ROI analyses for technology and capital investments that drive measurable efficiency gains.
* Align product development with operations: Collaborate with Sales and Product Development to ensure manufacturability, supply chain readiness, and DC handling are considered early; serve as gatekeeper of the stage‑gate process to enforce compliance with engineering, quality, and operational standards.
* Define and maintain quality standards: Create and maintain product quality statements, specifications, and inspection protocols that reflect brand commitments and customer requirements; engage customers and industry standards to validate expectations and performance targets.
* Lead capital planning and delivery: Own capital strategy and execution across sites and DCs, including annual budgeting, project justification, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, performance validation, and post-project review; coordinate with enterprise and finance to align timing and maximize corporate leverage.
* Build a prioritized multi-year project pipeline: Develop and maintain a 3-year portfolio of projects focused on safety, productivity, capacity, emerging technologies, and cost reduction; ensure clear business cases, resource plans, and prioritization criteria to deliver impact on schedule.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration and talent development: Foster strong cross-business partnerships and standardize processes across engineering, manufacturing, quality, Supply Chain, and DCs; develop leadership, technical, and frontline talent to sustain operational capability and continuous improvement.
* Develops the operational and manufacturing budgets: Approves and monitors expenditures, reporting variance to budget.
* Travel up to 25%.

The Coater Production Technician is responsible for performing work duties of two identified skills/jobs as the skill is learned and certified: Utility Technician and the Winder Operator. Additionally, the Coater Production Technician will train, and develop competency in for the Coater Head Operator role. Proficiency of each skill is acquired through a combination of academic training and testing, and on the job training/demonstration of skill.
This position works 12 hour rotating shifts - working nights, days, weekends, and holidays. Working 11 days out of a 21 day cycle.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities for Coater Production Technician
* Visually inspects equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair. Inspects machine/equipment for hazards, operating efficiency, malfunctions, wear, and leaks.
* Cleans, maintains, and repairs equipment and work area using hand tools, or if needed, requests that repair and maintenance work be performed by communicating, logging, and entering work orders in JD Edwards.
* Performs LOTO (lock out tag out) of associated equipment.
* Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM's) as needed (eye wash stations, fire extinguisher inspections, dust bag removal, etc.)
* Assists in threading of the machine during paper break events.
* Make proper shift relief by entering daily elogger information and communicating with supervisors and incoming operators.
* Trains other team members to learn the position and machine responsibilities/duties to increase production, maintain quality, and execute preventive maintenance on machines to prevent downtime and to ensure a sustainable and well-trained workforce.
Utility Technician
* Uses Mobile equipment to perform tasks supporting overall coater operations (roll clamp, forklift, bale clamps, and skid steer) inspection, operation and refueling.
* Operates and monitors the coater Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
* Removes/dumps the ETP sludge dumpsters and other waste dumpsters as needed.
* Monitors and refills ETP chemicals and replaces the filter mesh.
* U-Drain and sump pit operation and monitoring.
* Pulls and stages rolls from warehouse using roll clamp. Uses the RF scanner to ensure rolls are scanned to proper locations
* Operates a crane and other hoists to move spools, paper rolls, and mixers.
* Spool management (slabbing off paper, cleaning, rotation, etc.).
* Drives a skid steer to remove wastepaper and haul to proper locations based on products being produced.
* Operates the bander chopper and empties the banding dumpster as needed.
* Preparing paper rolls for use, moving paper rolls with roll pushers and roll trolley system and putting rolls into turret unwind system with proper set up for flying splices.
* Removes bales from baler.
* Rod cleaning.
* Assists with the coating prep by mixing coatings prior to runs and assists with coating clean ups between product runs. Cleans the empty chemical totes with a Gama Jet Tote washer, sealing properly and moving cleaned totes to designated storage location.
* Assists at the winder when needed. Reworks damaged rolls.
* Restocks consumable supplies in the turret area and other locations including but not limited to tape, paint, splicing tape.
Winder Operator
* Performs winder machine set-up based on product specifications. Ensure proper machine set points and parameters are entered, including set up and operation of edge guide, cutting slitters trim chutes and baler.
* Operates and monitors the Winder control station and HMI to required setpoints.
* Uses the trim sheets and product specifications for reference; cuts the cores to correct sizes using the electric core saw. Ensures proper diameter and thickness.
* Monitors the winding process to ensure that roll quality is maintained by watching for quality issues/defects, ensuring that only prime coated liner is on the finished roll. Ensures that rolls are completed to specification and requirements. (i.e. labeling, banding, shrink wrapping, end-capping, etc.
* Ensuring proper roll selection, accurately entering product quality data and finished roll properties (roll length, splices, etc.)
* Operation of manual roll banders and roll pushers.
* Monitoring and replacement of slitter blades and bands as needed.
* Certified and operate crane to move spools and paper rolls.
* Operates a skid steer with a grapple attachment to move wastepaper and bales to proper locations.
* Operates the coater machine reel area when needed (spool braking system)
* Spool management (slabbing off paper, cleaning, rotation, etc)
* Restocks consumable supplies including but not limited to tape, labels, cores, core plugs, steel banding, printing ink and bands.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* High School Diploma required.
* 1-3 Years of previous manufacturing experience required
* Mobile Equipment and Overhead Crane certified
* Ability and desire to work rotating 12-hour work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Operates Mobile Equipment safely with acute attention to surroundings. Inspects and maintains mobile equipment by documenting inspections appropriately and reporting maintenance issues. Operates multiple types of equipment to move, store, and maintain the warehouse materials- and maintain yard and dock equipment. Includes Paper Roll Clamp, OCC Bale Clamp, skid steer, front end loader, forklift, sweeper, aerial lift, yard tractor, and other equipment- as needed.
* Safely prepare, ship, receive, stack, and store OCC bales and finished paper rolls that weigh over 3 tons each. Identifies and solves problems. Troubleshoots issues to meet customer quality and accuracy expectations.
* Communicates effectively with team members, team leader, and customers- both internal and external. The Warehouse Technician services the customer needs of- LPI Fibres & Paper Machine, and Dreamworks Coating Solutions.
* Reports safety, process, and mechanical issues to the team leader, maintenance, and Safety team promptly and consistently.
* Effectively communicates pertinent information throughout the shift and at shift relief. Electronically logs and verbally communicates essential information to Team Leader, coworkers, maintenance, transportation, and both paper and fiber customer service teams.
* Use Scale Software to accurately account for and weigh truckloads of raw material.
* Actively takes part in Mill activities that support continuous improvement, problem solving, collaboration and engagement. Such as--- Area Home Station Groups, Safety Committee, Community Involvement, Engagement Action Team, Environmental, Health, & Safety committee, and other mill initiatives.
* Manages internal trailer pool and 3PL to optimize and support the logistic and transportation needs of 3 business units.
* Inventory Management. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and locations- including off-site warehousing.
* Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area. Housekeeping is expected of all team members.
* Actively supports teamwork both within the team- and across all departments through LPI.
* Works respectfully and effectively with peers on assignments and projects.
* Volunteers to help others with work activities. Takes initiative to assist and support others.
* Maintains a positive and caring attitude. Committed to the greater good of LPI and LDI.
* Performs work duties/activities following LPI standards and procedures. Safely and accurately unloads all incoming raw material (OCC) within the warehouse docks, outside receiving docks, and flatbed trailers in the yard. Includes grade verification, quality inspection, storage, audits, and preservation.
* Performs work duties/activities following LPI standards and procedures. Safely and efficiently handles, stores, picks, loads, and secures paper rolls into tractor-trailers for shipment with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and safety. Ships damage free paper within customer specifications.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* High School Diploma/GED required.
* 1+ Years previous work experience
* Mobile equipment trained.
* Basic Computer Skills (JDE Business Systems, KMI, eLogger, Outlook)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay rate for this position is $26.75 per hour. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. What you will do
As Future Talent - Junior Cheese Technologist, you will:
* Learn about Cheddar & Mozzarella cheese equipment technology.
* Assist with commissioning cheese equipment into full production mode and handover of cheese lines.

* Support other cheese technologists in other cheese categories like Fresh cheese, (semi) Hard cheese and industrial pasta filata (spun paste) cheese.

The Sr. Financial Analyst will act as the strategic finance partner to Safco sales leadership, delivering insights that drive both short-term results and long-term growth. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Partner with the Finance and Sales leadership to provide actionable financial insight and guidance on business performance.
* Lead the annual budget and periodic forecast cycles, coordinating inputs and ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
* Deliver monthly financial results packages, including detailed commentary on variances and business drivers.
* Provide both snapshot reporting (budget vs. actual, year-over-year) and longitudinal trend analysis to highlight risks and opportunities.
* Use Power BI and OneStream tools to serve ad hoc and regular reporting requests.
* Forecast and analyze revenue trends by product line and channel.
* Support sales during the customer contract renewal process. Advise on program changes based on financial results of the customer.
* Support the sales commission payments, reporting, and compensation design processes.
* Monitor operating expenses and headcount, providing transparency and recommendations for cost management.
* Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

As the Western Regional Senior Account Manager with Quarrix, a brand of Liberty Plastics, an LDI Company, you will be an integral member of our Building Products team. You will be responsible for the development and execution of annual sales plans that deliver strategic market growth in our Attic, Wall and Roof protection product and market segments. This position is responsible for establishing a sustainable base of business through both direct sales efforts and management of a regional team of independent sales reps. This role focuses on managing complex accounting areas, including Fixed Assets, Leases, and Intangibles, while ensuring timely and accurate P&L and Balance Sheet accounting. The Senior Accountant serves as a technical expert, providing guidance on accounting standards, leading system and process improvement initiatives, and supporting audits and policy development. Additionally, this position drives cross-functional projects, promotes best practices, and ensures reliable financial data to support business decisions.
This full-time position will report to the Accounting Manager at our headquarter location in New Hope, Minnesota.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Ensure timely and accurate P&L and Balance Sheet accounting in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies, while monitoring regulatory compliance and supporting annual audit and tax filing processes.
* Research, analyze, and conclude on technical accounting issues as they arise, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Prepare detailed memorandums to document accounting positions and policies. Serve as a subject matter resource for GAAP related questions and train team members on relevant accounting standards and policies.
* Lead the complete Fixed Asset and Lease lifecycle, from planning through disposal, i.e., managing schedules in JD Edwards and external systems, preparing monthly roll-forwards and reconciliations, monitoring capital spending and conducting post- implementation audits.
* Serve as JD Edwards superuser to drive automation and partner with Engineering and IT on approval workflows and reporting needs.
* Lead technical system upgrades and enhancement projects.
* Manage projects from planning through execution, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
* Coordinate and support the annual audit process including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and addressing audit inquiries.
* Develop and implement accounting policies, standards, and procedures.
* Serve as a liaison between LDI divisions and corporate accounting to ensure consistent application and compliance with reporting requirements
* Train new and current employees on accounting policies, procedures and relevant standards to ensure consistent understanding and compliance
* Ensure reliability of data to support business decision-making.
* Promote continuous improvement in project management and accounting processes by identifying, designing, and implementing best-practice solutions across LDI and its divisions to enhance productivity, engagement, and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
* 5+ years of experience in general financial accounting and reporting, including exposure to technical accounting issues and GAAP compliance. Applicants with fewer years of experience may be considered if they hold additional qualifications outlined under Preferred Education, Experience and Skills.
* Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Description
As a Sr Production Supervisor, Digital with Liberty Packaging, you will be responsible for leading and developing the production team on our high-speed digital printer with multiple person crews. This position is a key owner of the day-to-day operations of the digital printer. Duties will include working with employees providing constructive feedback and coaching, organizing workflow, and analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing process.
This position reports to the Plant Superintendent and is located at our Golden Valley, MN manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage day-to-day operations by leading teams within a designated area, including: overseeing production metrics, employee's placement, providing direction, guiding teams through problem solving and production challenges. Ensure operational KPIs are met (safety, waste reduction, quality control, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping).
* Lead department or work center teams through execution of observation-based safety programs, emphasizing the importance of safety hazard identification and proactive safety measures. Conduct regular safety huddles to communicate initiatives, coach safe practices, and recognize safety accomplishments and behaviors.
* Lead and support site safety investigations by actively participating in resolving opportunities to maintain a safe work environment, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies.
* Oversees quality processes and audits to meet customer expectations, preventative maintenance to ensure machine's reliability, and other continuous improvement processes.
* Ensure consistent adherence to established routines and performance standards by effectively coaching and disciplining employees, conducting timely reviews, and maintaining accurate timekeeping records, while reinforcing our culture of Caring, Innovation, Trust, and Excellence.
* Manages efficient and effective labor use through employee scheduling and assessing / recommending appropriate use of overtime.
* Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives by identifying, managing, and drive with projects, actively monitoring goals, and facilitating teamwork to cultivate a culture focused on continuous improvement within the organization.

As a Forklift Roll Clamp Truck Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely moving goods and materials around a high traffic industrial environment. As a Roll Clamp Truck Operator you will help maximize efficiency of the production process by safely operating mobile equipment to move roll stock from train cars and/or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure.
This full-time position reports directly to a Production Supervisor and is located at our Brooklyn Park, MN manufacturing facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Safely operate mobile equipment such clamp truck, forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other handling equipment in a high traffic industrial environment.
* Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system to track inventory levels and product location.
* Responsible for regularly completing pre-operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance.
* Move roll stock from train cars and/or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure.
* Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The Production Manager II is responsible for managing staffing, budgeting, and the execution of strategies for the DreamWorks Coating Solutions operations. This position is responsible for directing, controlling, and coordinating all aspects of the Coater Production to maximize the long-term and short-term profitability of the company while maintaining or exceeding performance standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides management and leadership to the DreamWorks Coating Solutions business unit by establishing and maintaining standards in safety, continuous improvement, environmental compliance, and cost control. Effectively manages company resources to maximize achievement of departmental goals in all areas (financial, customer service, innovation, and learning).
* Assists in the identification and development of leaders within the organization. Actively work to develop teams for enhancing their effectiveness in daily operations as well as to prepare them for future opportunities within the organization.
* Collaborates with peers (Technical, Maintenance, Engineering, Customer Service, Warehouse, etc.) to ensure the optimum allocation of resources within the mill.
* Drives LPI Culture initiatives maintaining a strong focus on accountability, productivity, quality, housekeeping, etc. throughout the Coater Production operation. Promotes engagement and involvement in activities such as Safety & Environmental meetings, Community Involvement meetings, Home Station Group meetings, special projects, or assignments, as well as the skills training activities of team members.
* Administers company policies and procedures fairly and equitably to maintain standards established for safety, quality, and overall company personnel engagement. Shares information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.
* Responsible for budgeting, department maintenance, and safety compliance for DCS operations.
* Strives to continually strengthen LPI's business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectations for customers specifically supporting LPI's Commitment to Service, which involves doing what's right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* 10+ years experience in manufacturing

* Bachelor's Degree in BBE, Paper Science, Paper Engineering or related field.
* Coater Machine Process Knowledge

As an Assistant Machine Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely producing quality corrugated products for our customers. You will work within a small group as an assistant operator; in this role, you will support machine operators to maximize machine efficiency by assisting with setting up orders correctly, performing quality checks, stacking orders, and communicating issues. In some locations, the Assistant Machine Operator I roles are also occasionally asked to assist in operating finishing machines / tasks (gluers, stitchers, slitter, and saw machine operation).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support machine operation by assisting with the setup of orders according to customer specifications, following order readiness process of efficiently preparing the right tools to complete the job.
* Assist machine operators during quality checks by inspecting a first article, and articles throughout the order to identify issues, ensuring quality product, along with monitoring equipment and raw materials.
* Support the operator in monitoring production metrics to accurately track progress of production rates, quality, maintenance needs, and downtime.
* Proactively communicate issues with equipment to appropriate leaders, and assist with trouble shooting, and problem solving to maximize overall equipment efficiency and minimize downtime.
* Intermittently assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with maintenance team.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area by following post order cleaning process.
* Follow plant safety processes and procedures outlined for the machine center.

* Previous experience applying math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Previous experience reading, following, and/or completing detailed work instructions.
* Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

* Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of distribution documentation: pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading.
* Knowledge of warehouse organization, workflow as well as basic inventory control (I.e.: Amtech).
* Previous experience with reading a tape measure.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The starting pay for this position is $22.21 per hour (Plus shift differential, if applicable). The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
