Overview
The Weight Management Clinic is within the Center for Children's Healthy Lifestyles and Nutrition and addresses childhood obesity prevention and treatment through a multidisciplinary approach for children, teens and young adults ages 2-21 years. Effective weight management involves caring for the whole person. In Weight Management, patients receive care from a dedicated team of experts who are passionate about helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle. Our team includes pediatricians, nurses and nurse practitioners, medicalassistants, registered dietitians, exercise physiologists, pediatric psychologists, education coordinators, and social workers. We partner with families, children, and teens to create actionable plans to help them achieve and maintain a healthier weight.
MedicalAssistants provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or Resource Manager assigned to supervise the Care Assistant and in accordance with this job description.

Starting Pay
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.68/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

The Safety Care and Nurturing Clinic (SCAN), part of the Division of Child Adversity and Resilience, Provides Trauma informed care to children and adolescents along with the families involved in the allegations of abuse and neglect. The Scan Clinic has open access and accepts referrals from all sources including physician offices, individuals, and families. MedicalAssistants in the SCAN Clinic provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse.
Diagnoses seen are:
* Child maltreatment
* Nutritional neglect
* Physical abuse
* Sexual abuse
* Suspected child abuse or neglect
Procedures and treatments performed include:
* Anogenital exams
* Extensive patient and family education and training

We are seeking a Internal Medicine Certified MedicalAssistant, also referred to as a Certified MedicalAssistant (CMA) - Internal Medicine Registered MedicalAssistant (RMA). The Internal Medicine CMA works in our clinics or physician offices that focus on adult care, chronic disease management, and preventive health. Internal Medicine CMA blends clinical support and administrative tasks to keep our practice running smoothly and to help our physicians provide quality patient care.
Shifts Available: Days (No Weekends)

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
* Room patients, take vital signs, review medications, allergies, and medical history
* Assist with exams and procedures such as injections, wound care, and specimen collection
* Perform basic lab tests (urinalysis, rapid tests) and prepare samples for the lab, administer medications and vaccines under provider direction
* Handle patient communication, portal messages, refills, and follow-up instructions and maintain exam rooms/equipment, keep supplies stocked and ready
* Support care management by tracking preventive screenings, follow-ups, and care gaps

Overview
MedicalAssistants provide basic, uncomplicated patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or Resource Manager assigned to supervise the Care Assistant and in accordance with this job description.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.68/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

* Ensures effective patient communication and efficient patient care delivery. Assists patients, families, and physicians to resolve patient related issues. Works and communicates effectively with all providers.
