As an ElectronicTechnician Trainee, you will be trained to install, test, certify, and maintain PacifiCorp communications systems including but not limited to the following voice and data communication systems; telephone systems, analog and digital microwave radio systems, land mobile radio systems, SCADA and MAS systems, power line carrier equipment, telemetry, tone relay, fiber optics nodes and cable, and associated switching and termination equipment. Configure and troubleshoot equipment and create detailed work and maintenance reports. Typically will be assigned to work with other company personnel on work assignments. Responsible for vehicles, tools and materials supplied by the Company for use in the role.
Location listed for this position is for TRAINING ONLY. You may be assigned to a new location upon completion of the trainee program. You will be required to bid to a regular, permanent position and location after successful completion of the training course.
Requirements
* Two-year College or technical degree in electrical, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience (military experience, etc.)
* FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License (GROL) with elements 1 & 3.
* Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet browsers and Excel).
* Must pass PacifiCorp's' ElectronicTechnician Trainee pool exam.
* Must have a valid driver's license with evidence of a safe driving record.

Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Internet browsers and Excel).
Must pass PacifiCorp's' ElectronicTechnician Trainee pool exam.
Must have a valid driver's license with evidence of a safe driving record.
Must be qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
Must be able to perform off-road travel in extreme weather conditions.
Preferences
Advanced computer skills.

Build test jigs and breadboard circuits as needed to help with product development and testing.
Construct components and/or subassemblies and assembles electronic equipment.
Use & maintain laboratory test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
Train customers, distributors, manufacturing and repair technicians.
Record, compute and analyze necessary test data and complete necessary documentation.
Recommend improvements in product design, quality, procedures, components, and processes.
Report improper operations, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisors.
Follow safety rules and regulations and maintains a neat, clean and orderly work area.

REQUIREMENTS:
Two-year technical degree beyond High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Must have formal training in electronics technology.

Must be computer literate and well versed with MS Office products.

Qualifications
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronic field of study.
2 plus years of work experience in an Electronic/Electrical Technician role.
Ability to read Electronic/Electrical Schematic and Layout.
Display some understanding of low voltage electronic component functionality.

Responsibilities
* Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Additional duties may be assigned as necessary):
Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates sensors at an entry to intermediate level, to include but not limited to: pressure, temperature, speed, density, viscosity, pH, level position, float, counting devices, hydraulic control, photo cells, flow rate, differential pressure, pressure switches under the direction and guidance of the Lead ElectronicsTechnician and/or Supervisor.
Performs use of Data Van control software to include: installation, configuration, and remote usage, pull and analyze log data files and configuration files from a Data Van or other unit. Assists other electronics personnel on equipment capabilities and usage to include Data Van software.
Performs tracking and accountability of repair parts, ready spares and consumables. Communicates equipment status details and directions in a clear and coherent manner. Maintains daily work logs, paperwork requirements, and work orders on a timely and efficient basis.
Coordinates with appropriate personnel in regards to completing work requests, troubleshooting and upgrading equipment. Coordinates with other technicians and Lead personnel regarding equipment status, emergency repairs and best practices of equipment usage.
Displays knowledge of circuits, systems and components utilized on the fracturing equipment. Analyzes and modifies standard circuitry to improve its performance.
Performs maintenance of computer systems including software and hardware updates. Completes preventive maintenance and visual inspections using authorized procedures, preventive maintenance forms, and reporting media.
Reads, comprehends, and interprets blueprints/drawings, schematics, and procedures and relates them to the facility/equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot non-standard electronic devices or devices for which documentation is incomplete or not available.
Sets up and runs tests with occasional supervisory and/or engineering support.
Performs failure analysis and communicates findings effectively using standalone reports and/or other software.
