The incumbent contributes to the development, implementation, and sustained delivery of scholarly communication services, resources, and engagement initiatives in the Libraries, with a focus on providing copyright information and education to WashU constituents, and supporting diverse formats of scholarly output and infrastructures for research dissemination that promote accessibility and impact.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Provide services, consultations and guidance-as information, not legal advice-to faculty, students, staff and other members of the University community on copyright, fair use, authors' rights, content rights for text and data mining, Creative Commons licensing, permissions, public performance rights, WU IP Policy, and related rights issues that connect to research, teaching, and library services.
* Develop and contribute to Scholarly Communication & Digital Publishing Services program resources and web presence. Prepare and maintain information and materials regarding open access, copyright, fair use, authors' rights, affordable course content/open educational resources (OERs), and other related scholarly communication issues in support of creation, dissemination and re-purposing of scholarly content.
* Plan and promote initiatives and outreach on topics related to scholarly communications, including copyright and fair use; open access and related University resolutions and policies; scholarly publishing and authors' rights; digital platforms for research sharing and dissemination; and open educational resources. Deliver or arrange educational programming about scholarly communications issues for the Libraries and University community, in collaboration with internal staff and campus stakeholders.
* Monitor regularly and engage with the national and international professional communities on issues in copyright and scholarly communication affecting libraries and universities, in order to provide support for decision making and alert staff to changes and opportunities related to library resources and services.
* Participate in library and University committees, projects, strategic initiatives, and other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking full-time Peer Support, between the ages of 18 and 30, for Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS), a mobile crisis response team in our Crisis Care department. The purpose of this position is to provide support and assist young adults with basic skill building, client management, and to assist the MRSS department as needed to provide excellent and thorough services to young adults in crisis, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Service provisions will focus on working with clients to navigate the system and enhance their recovery. MRSS is a regionally approached model and there may be times that calls need covered in the region that our team would be responsible for. This position is grant funded and available throughout the duration of the grant.
Hours: three, 12-hour weekly shifts; 8:00am - 8:00pm with rotating holidays and no weekends.

The goal of the Summer Cadet Program is to provide support for students interested in Fire Fighter work who are not old enough to become Fire Recruits, enabling them to continue their education and encouraging them to participate in the Fire Recruit examination. The future of our organization is dependent upon our ability to recruit and retain quality employees.
Cadets shall assist the Fire Department in a variety of duties. Under direct supervision, a cadet will interact with the public and perform other duties as assigned.
The Cadets will partake in keeping the City safe, instilling a sense of pride in their community.
Cadets will spend time assigned to a Fire Fighter conducting a variety of duties:
* Patrol of City neighborhoods and attending community events within the City.
* Introduction to several Fire Techniques.
Cadets will wear provided uniforms and shall participate in classes and other Department sponsored training.
Cadets shall be evaluated at the beginning and conclusion of the program, using a written evaluation form and shall work 24 - 30 hours per week.

The Carlson Library Safety Monitor(s) will be responsible or helping to maintain safety within Carlson Library. Specific duties will include monitoring the floors to ensure a safe environment for our students; aid in emergency situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, thefts, etc.; keep Library staff informed of security concerns; file incident reports; aid in nightly closing procedures, ensuring all patrons have vacated and the building is secured.
Position Responsibilities:
• Monitors will walk the floors throughout their shift to maintain a presence in the building.
• Monitors should always present a friendly demeanor, interact with students, and answer directional questions.

Job Objective
To promote the mission and values of the Greene County Public Library. To carry out objectives and goals of the strategic plan to better serve the community. To provide information services to adult and children using print and electronic sources.
Essential Job Functions
* Answers reference and reader's advisory questions from the public and conducts necessary research in various media, including electronic and Internet sources.
* Instructs and aids library users in use of library and of reference tools; provides both one-to-one assistance and group presentations.
* Assists in developing the community's library's collection through: (1) analyzing and evaluating the collection's strengths and weaknesses (2) selecting materials for removal from the collection (3) identifying community information needs and suggesting materials to meet them.
* Plans, designs, promotes, presents, and evaluates library programs for adults or families.
* Plans and/or prepares displays, bibliographies, or other informational materials.
* Troubleshoots all electronic resources and equipment in the department.
* In the absence of supervisors, assumes "person in charge" responsibilities.
* Assists in training employees.
* Responsible for opening/closing procedures.
* Keeps abreast of current developments in the field through attendance and participation in conferences and workshops and through programs of continuing education, professional reading, and participation in professional groups.
* Participates in groups such as Reference Council, Adult Programming Committee, Summer Reading Club Committee etc.
* Gathers statistics, prepares reports, and completes other projects as assigned.
* The supervisor may require other related duties. These duties are nonessential functions of this position.
* Attends conferences, workshops, seminars, and training to maintain knowledge as reflected in training curriculum.
* Keeps abreast of information by regularly reading email, minutes and staff website as well as attending staff meetings.
* Performs tasks of lower level classifications as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
* Ability to provide knowledgeable customer service to assist all library patrons in a timely manner; show tact and courtesy in relations with the public and other staff members.
* Ability to communicate clearly and read printed and on-screen information.
* Proven computers skills and ability to input information into an automated system.
* Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment and handle difficult situations.
* Ability to handle routine problems under the guidance of supervisor and keep supervisor informed of departmental needs and concerns.
Qualifications
* Adult Services Librarian II- Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited school required. 1-3 years of Library and/or Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
* Adult Services Librarian I- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required. 1-3 years of Library and/or Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
* Experience with reference service, including electronic retrieval preferred.
Environmental Conditions
