Flock Safety is looking for a Journeyman Electrician to join our Field Operations team. You'll be installing and maintaining electrical systems that power Flock's safety technology-cameras, radar, and other equipment. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in doing quality work, follows safety standards, and is comfortable on the road.
What You'll Do:
Install and troubleshoot wiring, switches, breakers, panels, and other electrical components
Use electrical testing tools (multimeters, voltage testers, etc.)
Work safely, following NEC codes and OSHA guidelines

The Position
Alene Candles is seeking an Electrician to be responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, cleaning, testing, adjusting, removing, constructing and operating electrical systems, equipment, machinery, control systems, ups systems, emergency power systems, laboratory systems and alarm systems. You will work under supervision or independently with other trades, contracted personnel and research staff, demonstrating knowledge of electrical theory, code requirements, procedures and techniques in safely performing assigned duties with up to medium voltage circuits.
The Location
We are located at 8860 Smith's Mill Road, New Albany, OH 43054. This is an onsite position in a climate controlled environment.
Hours
This position will be based on 1st shift (5:00 am-1:00 pm), however we will also consider candidates interested in working a split shift covering 1st and 2nd shifts. Please note, you may be required to work after normal business hours including weekends for power shutdowns, maintenance, repairs, installations, etc. on an as needed basis.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE: Install and maintain a variety of electrical equipment including fixtures, conductors, raceway systems, grounding systems, panel-boards, transformers, motors, controls, over-current protection, fire detection and alarm systems, appliances, communications systems, actuating devices, security-related components, and other equipment.
DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING: Maintain records of test reports, blueprints, as-built plans, and other documentation. Report on the status of assigned equipment maintenance, repairs, capacities and efficiency to the supervisor. Prepare written requirements for repairs or for ordering parts from suppliers.
SAFETY PROCEDURES & HAZARD ANALYSIS: Develop work procedures which identify tasks/steps and conduct hazard analysis to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with applicable guidelines.
SYSTEM TESTING & FAULT DETECTION: Examine and test elements of electrical systems to locate faults, defects, and unsafe conditions using appropriate diagnostic equipment and techniques.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION: Coordinate with other Maintenance staff and contractor staff to accomplish work on new and renovated space, ensuring compliance with applicable company guidelines as well as national, state, and local regulations and requirements.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Maintain good working relationships with staff and internal customers by displaying positive outlook and friendly relationships.
TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR: Correct problems in electrical systems by troubleshooting circuits, replacing defective equipment such as over-current protection, wiring, motors, starters, and other related electrical parts, and removing items from power supply to halt unsafe operation.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM: Implement an effective preventive maintenance program using the site's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, repairs and adjustments on systems and controls, monitor and record effectiveness of maintenance activities and take corrective actions.
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: Perform special tasks requiring similar duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be a Journeyman Electrician or nearly complete with the Journeyman path.
Must have the training acquired of a 5 year period.
Must understand and apply knowledge of regulatory codes and requirements, including the National Electric Code and local codes
Skill in interpreting schematic drawings, charts, and technical instructions
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work with minimum supervision by prioritizing and coordinating multiple assignments, initiating action, taking responsibility for completion of assignments, and communicating progress to customers and management
