POSITION DESCRIPTION DETAILS
Under the direct supervision of the Journeyman Electrician Foreman, this position acts as liaison between the company and client, interacting with various contractors in many capacities. Runs the day-to-day operations of the project. Lay out work and supervise other journeymen and apprentices.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Review and understand complexity of project, plans, specifications and estimate from project estimator.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications, blueprints and local codes.
Enforce OSHA safety requirements, company safety program and job specific safety standards.
Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
High school or vocational school diploma or equivalent.
Must hold a journeyman certification from an accredited apprenticeship school.
Hold OSHA 30 Hour.
Current CPR / First Aid Certification
Have Class A CDL and Fire Alarm license in good standing.

What you will work on:

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE: Install and maintain a variety of electrical equipment including fixtures, conductors, raceway systems, grounding systems, panel-boards, transformers, motors, controls, over-current protection, fire detection and alarm systems, appliances, communications systems, actuating devices, security-related components, and other equipment.
DOCUMENTATION & REPORTING: Maintain records of test reports, blueprints, as-built plans, and other documentation. Report on the status of assigned equipment maintenance, repairs, capacities and efficiency to the supervisor. Prepare written requirements for repairs or for ordering parts from suppliers.
SAFETY PROCEDURES & HAZARD ANALYSIS: Develop work procedures which identify tasks/steps and conduct hazard analysis to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with applicable guidelines.
SYSTEM TESTING & FAULT DETECTION: Examine and test elements of electrical systems to locate faults, defects, and unsafe conditions using appropriate diagnostic equipment and techniques.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION: Coordinate with other Maintenance staff and contractor staff to accomplish work on new and renovated space, ensuring compliance with applicable company guidelines as well as national, state, and local regulations and requirements.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS: Maintain good working relationships with staff and internal customers by displaying positive outlook and friendly relationships.
TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR: Correct problems in electrical systems by troubleshooting circuits, replacing defective equipment such as over-current protection, wiring, motors, starters, and other related electrical parts, and removing items from power supply to halt unsafe operation.
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM: Implement an effective preventive maintenance program using the site's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Perform preventive/predictive maintenance, repairs and adjustments on systems and controls, monitor and record effectiveness of maintenance activities and take corrective actions.
SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS: Perform special tasks requiring similar duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Must be a Journeyman Electrician or nearly complete with the Journeyman path.

As a Journeyman, you will be responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining electrical set ups. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct electrical apprentices to learn and progress through the trade.
Follow the policies and procedures of Gutridge - including safety standards.
Plan and layout work for themselves and craft workers working in their area.
Install and terminate electrical wiring, fixtures, devices, and other materials.
Terminate and set switchgear, panels, and other distribution equipment.
Measure, cut and bend conduit
Layout and install wiring circuits.
Use power tools & hand tools for drilling and cutting.
Pull/push wire through raceways, cable trays and other approved methods.
Trace out short circuits in wiring and troubleshoot other electrical issues.
Perform electrical repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
Perform work in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC).
Uses resources wisely.
Maintain company tools, equipment, supplies and materials in an orderly fashion.
Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities, including performing other duties for supervisor.
Set daily goals and review them with supervisor and crew members daily.
Ability to read meters.
Provide own hand tools and some power tools (full required list outlined in employee handbook).
Read and understand construction drawings and specifications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Performing the essential functions of this job will require, but are not limited to, the ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction in adverse weather conditions. Work may be performed in ditches and elevated work platforms. Vision abilities required to perform this job included close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to wear approved eye protection. The person must have the ability to hear bells, alarms, whistles etc. Performing this job requires the use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls. You will be required to sit, walk, talk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment. This employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and without assistance.
Candidates for this position must possess a valid driver license and reliable means of transportation. A 40-hour work week is standard and overtime, when needed, is expected. With prior notification, applicants must be willing to work flexible hours that may include night and weekend work. Unless previous arrangements have been made with management.

Scope of Work:

· Installing quad outlets at kiosks.
· Installing four quad outlets in network areas.
· Installing one single outlet as specified.
· Adapting to different breaker configurations at each site.
· Conducting surveys prior to work to confirm layout, breaker details, and compliance requirements.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): If you are an eligible ICTAP applicant you may apply for special selection over other candidates for this position.
