Summary:

Summary:

The unit has the capability of providing whole body cooling for infants suffering from HIE, and we offer Nitric Oxide for care of PPHN in extremely sick newborns. Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by providers.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team.
Assist in wound care, specimen collection, and patient education.
Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care continuity.
Provide support for medical procedures and assessments.
Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records.
Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and VA policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications:
Active LVN license in any U.S. state.
Minimum one year of LVN experience in a healthcare setting.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong clinical skills in medication administration and patient care.
Knowledge of VA policies and healthcare standards preferred

The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct patient care as defined in State's NursePractice Act.
Implements plan of care initiated by the registered nurse.
Provides accurate and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care.
Collects assessment data and performs observation to report to and collaborate with RN(s) and physician(s).
Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs for other disciplines to the registered nurse and/or Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.
Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
Participates in personal and professional growth and development.
Provides on-call coverage for both the home health & hospice.
Performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Active CA LVN License
Complies with accepted professional standards and practice.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
Understands philosophy of hospice concept. Also understands needs of the terminally ill.
