Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Detoxification Nurse (LPN), providing direct client care in a medically monitored, 24/7 detoxification center and residential unit. This role supports individuals through the withdrawal process in a compassionate, structured, and clinically supervised environment. Our facility serves 55 beds, offering increased opportunities for impactful care.
Position: Hiring for full-time and part-time positions
Employment Type: Employee (W-2), Hourly, Non-Exempt
Shift and Schedule:GRAVEYARD SHIFT
Compensation: Starts at $35.70 / hr. PLUS $8 / hr. shift differential for night shift.
6 months of employment: $2500 Bonus
1 year of employment: $2500 Bonus

Minimum Qualifications:
Current Oregon LPN license.
Completion of an accredited one- or two-year course of training for nurses.
First Aid/ CPR certification for healthcare providers or must be willing to certify withing first 30 days of employment.
Must have the ability to position self to operate/manage/transport/navigate equipment, With or without accommodations.
Physical ability to move and restrain clients in an emergency

An understanding of substance use disorders
Knowledge of chemical dependency and treatment methods
knowledge in nutrition, sanitation, and personal hygiene practices
Ability to follow oral and written directions and to apply techniques for specific needs.
Knowledge of de-escalation methods or ability to be trained in de-escalation methods.
The ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, and others with diverse ethnic backgrounds, religious views, cultural backgrounds, lifestyles and sexual orientations and treat each individual with respect and dignity
Competency in understanding substance abuse treatment practices.

Job Duties:
As Nurse in the Buckley Program, you will play a vital role in providing medical treatment for clients admitted into Buckley.
Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess, monitor, and support clients throughout the detoxification process, delegating tasks as appropriate.
Administer Medications & Treatments: Dispense medications and perform treatments in accordance with standing orders and clinical protocols.
Monitor & Document Patient Progress: Observe and accurately record changes in patient conditions, ensuring timely and precise documentation. Manage Emergencies & Referrals: Respond to medical emergencies, coordinate hospital transfers, and facilitate referrals to appropriate agencies.
Support Medical Providers: Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
Ensure Effective Shift Transitions: Provide and receive thorough shift reports, maintain accurate provider rounds lists, and communicate critical updates.
Maintain Client Roster: Track and update patient census and admissions for each shift.
Stay Current with Best Practices: Maintain knowledge of evolving detoxification protocols, treatment guidelines, and evidence-based practices.

Education, licensure and experience:
Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Current unencumbered licensure in Oregon.
Zero to six months previous experience in acute care and/or an office/clinic setting.
Current BLS certification.

- Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.
- Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with ABC Houses mission, vision and goals.
- Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
- Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month.

Skills and Qualifications
- This position is open to Nurse Practitioners with a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred.
- Experience with child abuse medicine preferred.

The Intensive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely/critically ill patients who are at high risk for actual or potential life-threatening health problems. The ICU provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that provides intensive monitoring, assessments, and interventions.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
GSR ICU-CCU:
AHA ACLS, PALS and TNCC preferred.
Previous ICU experience preferred.
Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.

Administer Medications & Treatments: Dispense medications and perform treatments in accordance with standing orders and clinical protocols.
Monitor & Document Patient Progress: Observe and accurately record changes in patient conditions, ensuring timely and precise documentation. Manage Emergencies & Referrals: Respond to medical emergencies, coordinate hospital transfers, and facilitate referrals to appropriate agencies.
Support Medical Providers: Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
Ensure Effective Shift Transitions: Provide and receive thorough shift reports, maintain accurate provider rounds lists, and communicate critical updates.
Maintain Client Roster: Track and update patient census and admissions for each shift.

The Child Abuse Medical Provider - Nurse Practitioner provides forensic medical evaluation and consultation services to children and youth referred for concerns of abuse and neglect. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide complete child abuse assessment and consultation services to children referred with concerns of child abuse and neglect.
- Conduct forensic medical examinations of children and youth. Determine child and family's medical and social needs, including emotional and psychological concerns, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Complete all required medical documentation, including photo-documentation, in electronic health record system and patient charts. Prepare reports for client records and investigations.
- In coordination with the Medical Director, serve as a designated medical provider for suspicious physical injury cases referred under Karly's Law. Provide additional medical consultation for multidisciplinary team
members and local medical providers on child abuse issues as needed.
- Regularly participate in case review with the multidisciplinary teams in coordination with other medical providers.
- Provide expert and fact witness testimony in Benton and Linn County proceedings and other jurisdictions as required.
- Assist in establishing medical policy and protocols in accordance with ABC House's mission, vision and goals.
- Complete a minimum of eight hours of continuing medical education in child abuse medicine annually and participate in additional quality assurance activities including consultation with child abuse experts, literature review and peer review.
- Share call-phone duties at minimum one week per month.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- This position is open to Nurse Practitioners with a license to practice medicine in the State of Oregon. Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred.
- Experience with child abuse medicine preferred.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary partners, including law enforcement, child protective services, mental health providers and non-medical professionals.
- Demonstrated competency in trauma informed care; ability to communicate compassionately and remain objective and non-judgmental.
- Ability to calmly and effectively deal with people in crisis.
- Spanish speaker is a plus.
