Job Description We are looking to hire a dynamic MDS nurse to work at our medical care facility. Your duties will include facilitating the MDS process and assisting patients with Medicaid or health insurance particulars. You will also work with the medical team to develop patient care plans. To ensure success as an MDS nurse, you should be able to rapidly assess situations to make critical decisions about patient care. Ultimately, a top-notch MDS nurse should be able to work with a high volume of data and intricate medical reports. Performs care coordination services for assigned recipients who are eligible for home health services (Home Health Visits, PPEC, Personal Care Services and/or Private Duty Nursing Services etc. based on contract requirements). Uses discretion to approve/validate UR or forward to 2 nd level reviewer. Provides first level utilization review for all inpatient and outpatient services requiring authorization: Prospective Review Urgent/ Non-urgent, Concurrent Review and Retrospective Review. Licensed Practical Nurse - Home Health Broward County- Full time - Part time - PRN Qualifications: Certification as Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida. 1. The Licensed Practical Nurse shall provide assigned nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse who provides onsite supervisions as needed, based upon the severity of patient's medical condition and the nurses training experience. 2.
