Provide medical care and support as needed in crisis situations
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for clients
Provide education and training for other staff on an ongoing basis
Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and academic training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.
Summary of Duties:
The RN is responsible for assisting the Health and Wellness Director in planning, implementing, and evaluating an efficient Wellness Program consistent with student needs and Job Corps' goals and objectives.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Promotes the Wellness Program and provides care, assessment, triage, and treatment.
Provides input to the H&W Director, Physician, and Mental Health Consultant for case management of student's health issues.
Coordinates and delivers orientation to Health Services to students.
Assists the H&W Director with Center-Wide staff training requirements.
Coordinates and promotes activities that support health and safety throughout the Center.
Ensures delivery of quality services is provided to trainees and staff at all times.
Assists students in developing their employability skills.
Develops strategies and initiatives to increases participation in health and wellness activities on-Center.
Promotes a safe and secure environment.
Complies with OSHA requirements.
Assists the H&W Director with medication management including monthly inventory and ordering of stock medication/vaccines, the daily count and monitoring of controlled substances, and daily ordering and monitoring of trainees' prescriptions to ensure safety of mediations and vaccines.
Maintains accurate records for ordering, storage, administration, and disposal of medication/vaccines. Assists in monitoring use, maintenance and disposal of supplies and equipment in Health Services.
Ensures medical records are maintained and in compliance with DOL, Corporate and Center requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
Provides on-call services to handle emergency care.
Implements, directs and monitors infection control measures in Health Services and assists with monitoring Center-wide infection control.
Complies with OSHA requirements. Provides written health standing orders for department and on procedures of health care.
Performs other duties as requested by the Department Director.

Job Summary and Responsibilities STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The MDS Coordinator/RN is responsible for the coordination of the MDS/Resident Assessment Instrument and assist in the ongoing education of those preparing the MDS. Responsible for the electronic transmission of the MDS/Resident Assessment data to the State Department of Health. Demonstrates the knowledge to complete the MDS/Resident Assessment Instrument. Facilitates communication between the interdisciplinary team. Assist in the assessment of the resident, in the planning of care, and in the evaluation of the plan of care, according to the policies and procedures while maintaining standards of the State Nurse Practice Act. Assists in screening for Skilled Nursing Facility admits.
All the criteria-based duties and standards within this document will be performed according to policies, procedures and guidelines of the Medical Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Schedule and complete the MDS and RAP's according to the State and Federal guidelines.
* Input data into the computer system.
* Assist and train other members of the interdisciplinary team to complete their portion of the MDS.
* Complete resident interviews as needed for completion of the MDS.
* Transmit MDS data to the State Department of Health.
* Aims testing
* Does Dr rounds, orders, consults,
* Participate on Fall committee and Psychosocial committee,
* Participate in the interdisciplinary care conferences.
* Does the initial nursing care plan and facilitates its implementation.
* Screen for Nursing Facility admits. .
* Utilize the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes.
* Meet the educational needs of patient/family/co-workers utilizing principals of teaching/learning.
* Delegate nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care.
Job Requirements
Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing. Licensure: Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. Graduate Nurse (G.N.) must practice under the supervision of a registered nurse while the work authorization to practice is valid. Experience: Basic MDS training preferred.
