SUMMARY:
The Clinical Sales Liaison serves as an on-site vital link between healthcare providers, patients, and our organization, ensuring seamless transitions of care by promoting our home medical equipment (HME) and respiratory services. This role involves building strong relationships with referral sources, educating medical professionals on our services, and supporting patients in their transition to home-based care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Routinely assists the Sales, Account Receivable Team and Customer Service Team obtain patient chart notes and documentation needed to meet insurance plans coverage criteria.
Attend PHM Sales Team meetings to remain current on the needs of the team and PHM.
Presents PHM and self in a professional and ethical manner to enhance trust and professional organizational image within the medical & community at large.
Works after hours as needed.
Deliver and set-up PAP Therapy equipment as needed
Maintains a high level of knowledge on all respiratory and other equipment provided by PHM, equipment troubleshooting, equipment options, insurance coverage guidelines, contract provisions, and PHM process. Acts as a “resource” for customers, referral sources and the local community providing updated & standard information as requested and through periodic in-service education.
Effectively follows up & communicates with customers and referral sources as needed and requested to assure quality service and resolution of any concerns identified or perceived.
Follows all insurance guidelines, company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements to assure good customer service, maintenance of accreditation status, regulatory compliance and assure clear communication of financial and process expectations with customers.
Work well within a team setting.
Willing to be flexible in the daily routine to ensure all referrals and patients receive their equipment in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's or associate degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited college or university is preferred, along with one to three years of relevant experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience will also be considered. Prior experience and knowledge in home medical equipment and respiratory services is highly desirable.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, coming to a logical and effective solution meeting regulatory and organizational standards.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work effectively with little supervision.

One (1) year skilled nursing experience preferred
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Perform critical care duties to include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating age-specific nursing care across all ages.
Perform physical exam and health histories.
Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations.
Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate.
Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes
Provide comprehensive professional neonatal care to critically ill neonatal patients in the NICU.
NICU RNs are responsible for infants throughout tour of duty and have extensive knowledge and experience and have the skill for concentrated effort and are self-motivating to carry out patient care requirements.
Responsible for caring for infants with a variety of respiratory support devices such as oscillators, vents, iNO, CPAP, SIPAP, nasal cannula and trach tubes.
Participate in the development and updating of patient care plan.
Monitor IV fluids, blood, and blood products, check rate, volume, and insertion site. Perform neonatalcatheter care. Change fluid containers and tubing. Recognize potential problems and take corrective action.
Perform basic infant care procedures, lifting, turning, transporting, and positioning. Providing personal hygiene care, changes linens, clothing, and feeds infants to include NG/ OG, PO, G-tube feedings.
Support, assist and instruct breast feeding Mothers to promote maximum nutritional needs based on Mothers' desire to breast feed.
Set up or assist in setting up and use specialized equipment such as ventilator support oxygen delivery systems, drainage suction devices, hypothermic units, and infusion pumps.
Mix and administer prescribed medication orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, intravenously.
Serve as a resource person whom other critical care nurses and other health providers consult when particularly difficult problems in care of critically ill patients arise.
Serves as a member of the Neonatal Resuscitation Team; attends high-risk deliveries and initiates neonatal resuscitative measures as directed.
