Follows re-fill process for medications.
Participates in the development of the Service Plan and monthly updates.
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration rates.

The Medication Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure delivery of medications, treatments and health related items to the residents within the Community. The Medication Technician assists in developing, coordinating and performing the tasks on the service plan according to the residents' preference and abilities through the nurse's assessment of care. The Medication Technician may serve as a Manager on Duty and monitor all the caregivers on the same shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Adheres to and conveys the philosophy of the community assisted living/ memory care policies and procedures. Has awareness and practices in accordance with the regulations of the state.
Receives reports from the previous shift clinical team as well as providing a thorough report to oncoming shift.
Reads the 24-hour report sheet or system for alerts, and shower schedule for information and changes at the beginning of each shift. Documents on 24-hour report sheet or system on new added events, changes in care or conditions as well as Progress notes, as appropriate throughout the day.
Treat residents, families and visitors of the Community with dignity and respect.
Assists residents with activities of daily living, environmental orientation, vital signs, first aid, and communication with outside health care professionals for resident quality of care.
Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and standard precautions.
Documents care provided adhering to Community policies and procedures.
