The RN MDS Coordinator coordinates and assists with completion and submission of accurate and timely interdisciplinary MDS Assessments, CAAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
Associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Currently licensed/registered in applicable State. Must maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing throughout employment.
Two (2) years' nursing experience. Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
CRN C Certification (clinical compliance)
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Essential Functions

Provide education to direct care associates regarding updates or changes to the CMS RAI Manual or Skilled Nursing Facility Regulations that impact documentation
Assist with review of the Interdisciplinary Comprehensive Care Plan
Review Final Validation Reports and attest that all assessments have been completed and accepted into the CMS QIES system prior to billing and notify the Business Office when assessments are not ready to bill
Review CMS Reports to identify assessments completed or submitted late and develop systems and processes to prevent reoccurrence
Attend and participate in the Daily PPS Meeting, Monthly Triple Check, and other meetings upon request
Perform functions of a staff nurse as required
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
Assist in the evacuation of patients
Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team

What You'll Do:
Provides care during patient visits, discussing chief complaint and obtaining vital signs and complete health history for the patient. Develops a baseline physical assessment.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

As an OR Travel Nurse, you will assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, as well as providing pre- and post-surgery care and education to the patient. Circulating OR Nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; Scrub OR Nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Surgery responsibilities may include preparing instruments for specific surgical procedures, monitoring and observing the patient during surgery, and responding to potential complications alongside the physician.
As an OR Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care.
Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Serve as the communication liaison between patients' family members and members of the operating team.
Ensure that the correct procedure(s) is being performed on the correct patient.
Initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician; teach patients and families how to manage medication and home care needs.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company's 401(k) program.

Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting. This role encompasses assessing maternal and fetal health, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The position requires strong clinical skills in obstetrics, critical thinking abilities, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics.
Essential Work Functions:
Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families, providing reassurance and addressing concerns
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved obstetric nursing techniques
Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients
Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care
Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence-based protocols
Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
Comply with all regulatory standards, including hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
