Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) Child and Youth Behavioral team to support Naval Base Kitsap near Bremerton, WA.
This is a 9 month school calendar position that will reflect the school calendar that you would support.
This role will serve at Olympic High School and other area schools.
Join the mission to support U.S. military service members and their families as they work through important military life adjustments while serving their country. The Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, in providing non-medical support, which includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. Non-medical counseling is preventive in nature and aims to address and provide solution focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.
Military children face unique emotional and environmental challenges due to the stress of military life. This is an opportunity for you to reach them where and when you are most needed.
CYB-MFLC responsibilities include:
Work at school(s) that are populated by military youth and teens.
Observe, participate, and engage in activities with youth and/or teens; provide coaching, guidance and support to staff and parents; and model behavior management techniques for staff and parents.
Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning that is crucial for youth and teenage development.
Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.
Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
Help with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.
Participate in regular in-service training or other contract activities as assigned.
Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to Team Leads.

Due to the nature of working on military installations or related worksites, counselors may need to comply with various site-specific requirements to work at designated locations.
Environment:
At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed in multiple indoor locations (approximately 60%) and outdoor locations (approximately 40%). The indoor locations are located within school setting controlled by the state and/or Department of Defense Education Activity. The outdoor locations frequently involve traversing over uneven grassy, gravel, and/or dirt areas, ascending/descending stairs, and exposure to the weather.
Minimum Requirements:
A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
The candidate must hold a valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (Licensed Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Counselor, Psychologist).
Must be a U.S. citizen per government contract.
Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00

Support the Sales team, with particular focus on Stripe's Stablecoin & Crypto team, leading negotiations and advising on a wide range of commercial and legal issues
Work closely with Product Legal to bring new products and features to market, including drafting service terms and providing contractual, commercial, and user-experience advice for launches
Be an integral part of the build out of Stripe's commercial legal infrastructure to enable scalable, efficient operations in line with Stripe's growth. This includes advising on the contractual integration of services provided by Stripe's cryptocurrency, stablecoin, and wallet infrastructure acquisitions (including Bridge and Privy), drafting and maintaining agreements and playbooks, and leading or contributing to projects that improve internal processes and operational efficiencies, including by leveraging AI tooling
Partner with teams across Stripe, including Sales, Partnerships, Operations, Product, Tax, and Risk groups, to align legal solutions with business priorities
Serve as a proactive and strategic business partner to senior managers and act as a trusted advisor on commercial strategy and risk
Develop and deliver training, playbooks, and other resources to help the Sales team sell our products confidently and compliantly
Act as a point of escalation for outside counsel and manage outside counsel relationships when matters require external expertise

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).
Office‑assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in‑person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on‑sites, meet‑ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.
The annual US base salary range for this role is $196,000 - $294,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will:
Conduct mental health assessments and provide therapeutic services to adults and children within the Vision House program.
Collaborate with the Family Program team to identify and address the mental health needs of residents.
Provide counseling through individual, family, or group sessions, as well as provide resources and support during escalated mental health situations.
Facilitate classes as needed to help build skills and address the emotional well-being of residents.

Facilitate training for staff as needed.

Requirements
Mental Health Counselor candidates should have the following qualifications:
Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences field, with active licensure (LMFT, LMFTA, LMHC, or LMHCA).
Knowledge and practice of therapeutic practices, such as EMDR, Lifespan Integration or similar.
Demonstrated ability to apply the principals of trauma-informed care.
Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Familiarity with community mental health resources and able to help residents access those services.
Experience working with children, families, and individuals that have experienced trauma.
Knowledge of the effects of trauma, including physical, sexual, and emotional abuse.
Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
Ability to adapt quickly to various situations.
Ability to pass background check.

Provide support and counseling to client's family and natural supports as appropriate.
Be prepared to respond to client crisis as part of a team as appropriate or needed.
Work with clients and multidisciplinary team to develop a treatment plan (signed off on by an MHP for counselor 1) and track progress in achieving goals.
