Position Summary:
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in a school setting, you will provide behavior assessment, consultation, and intervention for students with behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities. Through DGS, clients and families have access to outpatient counseling, group therapy, parent-child interaction therapy, and school-based services. Our community-based service lines serve youth and families who require a more intense therapeutic protocol. DGS' 24-hour statewide Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) dispatches skilled crisis intervention clinicians to provide immediate care to children experiencing behavioral health crises. Therapeutic options are available for a wide range of diagnoses including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, eating disorders, traumatic stress-related disorders, and suicidal ideation. In 2021, DGS clinicians provided over 54,000 direct care hours to children, youth, and families in Delaware. This position is in support of Child and Youth roles associated with Dover military base in Delaware; candidate must be local to the military base or willing to relocate to become local. This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations to include civilian expeditionary work force and their families (when activated). These services may include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child development centers, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB counselors will be assigned to child development centers, youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused counseling directly to eligible children and youth of service members at assigned primary and secondary locations. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of Child Development Centers (CDC), youth programs and summer camps (if available/assigned) as well as providing parent support, training, and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone or web application to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages. Consistently visible within the assigned location(s) which allows MFLC services to be accessible. When working with children, counselor must abide by line-of-sight protocol. (Another adult with responsibility for the child must be able to see the counselor and child they are working with at all times.)
Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an effective and professional working relationship with the installation/facility POC.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which the counselor is assigned. Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. The CYB will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed or at the request of the Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees, initiatives, studies, pilot programs other contract activities as assigned/appropriate as directed by the customer and/or Magellan. This includes participation in pilot program certification and training processes, completion of activity documentation, integration of pilot activities in non-medical counseling work, and the utilization of applicable technology to complete required activities.

Master's Degree from an accredited Graduate Program in a Mental Health related field.
Valid unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, District of Columbia, US Territory or Commonwealth that grants authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner. A minimum of two years of post-license clinical experience.
Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).

Expectations & Requirements
Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy from a CACREP-accredited (or equivalent) program.
License-eligible in Delaware (LACMH, LMSW, or LAMFT) candidates must meet eligibility requirements at the time of hire and obtain provisional licensure within 45 days.
Licensing exams:
Counselors National Counselor Examination (NCE) through NBCC
Social Workers ASWB Masters Exam
Marriage & Family Therapists AMFTRB National MFT Exam
Experience: Minimum 1 year post-graduate working with children/families in a clinical setting.
Skills: Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches.
Documentation: Progress notes due within 48 hours high-quality, timely documentation required.
Compensation & Flexibility
Pay: $41 per clinical hour for the first 50 sessions per pay period (about 25 sessions per week).
Bonus rate: $50 per clinical hour for sessions above 50 per pay period.
Biweekly example (1099): 25 clients/week = $2,050 every two weeks (~$53,300/year) with higher earning potential.
Sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 90 days of successful performance and documentation compliance.
Paid upfront each payroll no waiting for insurance reimbursements.
Bonus eligible based on productivity and performance.
Free supervision and paid specialty certification.
Flexible scheduling work four or five days per week with flexibility to complete notes from home.
Long-term growth: Post-licensure, our goal is to retain and promote our therapists into leadership and supervisory roles.

The Social Worker collaborates with the multidisciplinary team and provides input in the development of the IHP/IEP for students requiring social work intervention and support in the school setting. Minimum Requirements: + Holds a Professional Educator License with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement as required by state, contract and/or facility
+ May be required to have MSW or LCSW per state, contract or facility
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
