    Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) - TEMPORARY POSITION - Disaster Shelter Support Location: Emergency Shelter, Monroe County, Georgia, and other designated zones as per contract requirements Employment Type: Temporary/Contract Basis Job Summary: The Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) will provide essential mental health services within the emergency shelter facilities operated under the Georgia Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness program. The LMHC will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and provide comprehensive mental health counseling services to shelter residents. This position requires adherence to all state and federal regulations within the scope of practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Patient Care: - Provide individual, group, and family counseling to shelter residents. - Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in coordination with other healthcare professionals. - Conduct mental health assessments to determine the psychological status of residents. - Counsel residents on coping mechanisms, stress management, and other mental health strategies. 2.
