The Crisis Counselor works cooperatively with other community professionals to maintain consumer safety through assessments for general mental health, suicide, homicide, and ability to care for self.

Provide 24-hour crisis intervention services.
Assess consumer mental health status and coordinate emergency services.
To assess for and implement Chapter 55 Protective Placements and subsequent placement at appropriate facilities when necessary after normal business hours for county Adult Protective Services.

This position may receive a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.
Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A probationary period is required.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)
To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that occupational area for a year. If the candidate leaves their occupational area prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

This position formulates and implements individual and group interventions in the areas of reintegration planning and substance abuse treatment. The specialist will conduct evaluations using evidenced-based evaluation rating tools, will implement case and treatment plans and will delivery evidence-based substance abuse programming. The specialist will develop and implement therapeutic and behavioral interventions to improve a persons' in our care (PIOC) success in completing program requirements.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 12-64 with a starting pay of $29.94/hour - $34.34/hour.
This position may receive a $1.00 to $2.00 per hour add-on pay based on the type of SAC credential possessed at the time of hire.
Candidates with no prior permanent employment with the State of Wisconsin in the past 5 years may be eligible to accept a sign-on bonus of $3,000. The sign-on bonus will be paid in two installments: $1500 on the first paycheck and $1500 with the paycheck for the pay period in which the employee attains permanent status (usually 1 year). (UW System employment isn't disqualifying.)
To receive the bonus, a candidate must sign an agreement indicating they will remain in that position for a year. If the candidate leaves their position prior to completing the one year, they may be required to reimburse the initial payment.

Position Description:
The program therapist will be responsible for the treatment, counseling, group therapy, and case management for a caseload of program clients. The primary therapist will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver counseling services in the way of individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
