Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. Serves in an emergency 24-hour on-call capacity for crisis intervention services and may respond in the field as part of the Crisis Incident Stress Debriefing Team; provides immediate professional counseling services; consults with or assists personnel as needed; debriefs personnel involved in on/off duty shootings, serious crime situations, traumatic incidents; and provides group debriefings following exposure to major critical incidents. Provides operational consultations regarding case-specific behavioral analyses; develops health interventions; and conducts research and statistical analyses. Consults with department on organizational and operational matters including work-group dynamics and cohesiveness, productivity, team building, leadership development, executive coaching, and morale issues; and applies sound organizational principles to design and implement organizational interventions. Prepares lesson plans and teaches a variety of subjects to department personnel related to psychological, physical, and physiological health; and develops health promotion materials on various psychological, physiological and social issues i.e, suicide prevention, resiliency, responsible drinking, pain management, leadership development, emotional intelligence, performance, and disease prevention. Researches topics and presents comprehensive training programs, workshops, and lectures on a variety of topics to department staff, including supervisors, management, and training officers. Conducts psychological research, initiates studies, and provides research data to implement departmental programs; and collaborates on multi-disciplinary investigations. Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Psychology, Educational Psychology or a related field; two years of professional experience providing counseling; experience administering Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2, Inwald Personality Inventory, California Psychological Inventory, Inwald Survey 5R, and Wunderlic Personnel Test preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess State of Georgia Board of Professional Counselors license to practice as a Professional Counselor. Our Camp Counselor positions have the potential to serve as competitively paid internships that meet your course credit needs. First and foremost, your primary responsibilities will be as a Camp Counselor. As an Intern, you will be expected to fulfill your regular daily job responsibilities and it will be up to you to complete your internship responsibilities and to ensure that they do not interfere with your work obligations. Contact your college advisor in advance and ask them if you can use your summer camp job as a practicum, internship or for other course credits. If KE Camps can meet your internship requirements, your on-site Camp Director will be your field supervisor and oversee your course work. You will also be connected to a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must complete the course, practicum or internship per your college's parameters and complete your summer employment.
