Provides interventions (individual, family) that promote the amelioration of problematic symptoms and behaviors, from both a clinical and non-clinical lens.
Evaluates client risk on an ongoing basis and formulates and implements appropriate safety plan for inside and outside sessions.
Collaborates regularly with internal CMHA programs and external agencies such as schools, PCPs, pediatricians, DCF, probation, court, and other social services.
Maintains accurate documentation and submits within program and funder timeframes.
Maintains appropriate caseload as determined by CMHA and funder.
Performs other related duties as assigned, which may include urine toxicology screens, Reunification Services, Therapeutic Family Time, etc.
Requirements:
Master's degree in behavioral health (psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy).
LMSW, LPC-A, MFTA required and must be eligible for LCSW, LPC and LMFT.

Residential Counselors have a range of duties include administrating medication under the Medication Administration Plan (MED), implementing treatment plans, and assisting people with activities of daily living, such as household chores and cooking. Part-time Description
CT Institute For Communities, Inc. / CIFC Health is seeking to hire a licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) to provide school-based therapy to CIFC Health patients. Therapist can provide occasional remote / tele treatment to clients. This position is be a full-time, school year (44 week) position. Typical hours are 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM.
School Based Health Center Clinicians perform diagnostic psychosocial evaluations, develop care plan with clients and their families, offers individual, family, or group therapy as appropriate, conduct care coordination, and document all clinical interventions in accordance with CIFC Health policy and state regulatory expectations.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL
Completes initial behavioral health evaluations; individual, group and family psychotherapy with children in an outpatient clinic within a school.
Conduct outreach within the school to identify students who would benefit from in-school mental health therapy.
Consults with providers within and outside the agency regarding the treatment plan and progress of the patients.
Coordinates as needed with psychiatric consultants for diagnostic and consultative needs; refers as necessary for medication management.
Attends clinical Team Meetings as assigned
Meets productivity standards as outlined annually during employee's performance appraisal review with a focus on quality clinical care.
Encourages clients to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships.
Perform crisis interventions with clients.
Assess for immediate safety concerns, including: high risk patients/clients who may be at risk for homicide, suicide and domestic violence.
