Veterans Inc. is the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England. We are seeking to fill Residential Counselor positions and add valuable members to our team to accomplish our mission!
This individual is part of a 24/7 team responsible for the safety and welfare veterans residing in our Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program. The veteran can remain in the program for up to two years but the typical stay is less than 12 months.
We are currently hiring for a part time staff member, Saturday-Sunday, 8am-4pm.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:
Develops and maintains positive relationships with the clients, staff, volunteers and visitors.
Maintains resident safety and confidentiality. Utilize the wand to check all bags as residents enter the facility; administering breathalyzer and random drug tests to all clients; and forward incoming calls for residents.
Prepares and submits detailed shift and incident reports of all activities, incidents and emergencies that occur during shift.
Maintains safety and security of the building, company vehicles, and all Veterans Inc. property on site.
First responder for client-related emergencies, RC are trained in CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration.
Other special projects and duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year experience working in security, residential or direct care services
Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check.
Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a drug test.

Advances knowledge, skill, and professional development through participation in clinical supervision and /or peer consultation groups, offered on site, a minimum of twice/month for first year of employment.
