CRITERIA:
Tertiary qualification in Psychology and minimum of 5 years experience as a Psychologist with general AHPRA registration;

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will deliver psychological services to inmates, including administering, scoring, and interpreting various diagnostic tools to assess intellectual abilities, personality traits, interests, aptitudes, and other psychological factors. Duties will include providing immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic support, conducting individual and group psychotherapy, and screening inmates for psychiatric and other mental health services. Additionally, you will create both short- and long-term psychological treatment goals for each inmate and design and implement a counseling program to address adjustment issues in daily life, social interactions, and work environments. You will also be expected to work independently and demonstrate initiative.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
* Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
* Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
* This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
* Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
* Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $77,379.00 (before taxes). However, a higher salary may be established in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
