At the heart of this thriving Therapy community in the South Bay Area, is a respected healthcare systems that offers a vast array of Acute, Sub-Acute, and Outpatient Services. From Inpatient and Emergency services a nearby 300+ bed hospital, to a full range of outpatient, primary, and specialty care clinics, this community health system has earned a reputation for amazing patient outcomes and innovative care models. The Licensed Adult Psychologist will play an integral role in supporting patient care and well-being across the continuum of care.

Reporting to the Ambulatory Mental Health Program Manager, the Outpatient Psychologist will work in a unique role as an Embedded Therapist at this busy Primary Care Clinic. Joining an outstanding Therapy team made of Masters prepared Social Workers (MSW), Clinical Psychologists (Psy.D., PhD., DEd.) and Marriage and Family Therapists (MFT), the Embedded Psychologist will get the support needed to offer Mental Health Services to the patients in this clinic. Working with such a diverse team, the Licensed Adult Psychologist will get exposure to a large set of patient populations including Pediatric / Child Development, Geriatric, and Trauma.

As the Outpatient Licensed Psychologist you will play an integral role in supporting this Behavioral Health functions at this Primary Care and Family Health Clinic. This person will get to have a voice in developing, implementing, and evaluating Therapy programs for this health system during an exciting time. This department is growing, having added over a dozen new roles in the past few months bringing it up to nearly 30 clinicians in the area.

The Licensed Outpatient Embedded Psychologist will play an important role for the clinic and for patient services in general. Primary duties include performing psychosocial assessments of patients and families in the Exam Room, and providing consults to the physician on request. This person will see patients of all age ranges, and will serve as the specialist on site when mental health assessment or resources are needed. A large part of this assessment is offering therapy services when necessary and appropriate, and coordinating continuing care with other members of the overall healthcare community.

This role ONLY performs Disability Assessments on Veterans. You will NOT treat, and you will NOT prescribe medication in this position.

Licensed Psychologist will review and assess 3 (sometimes 4) Veterans per day on average.

Schedule Mon-Fri (8 am-5 pm)

This is an IN-PERSON position.

Requirements:
