PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC (PXD) is under contract with the DOE to operate Pantex located near Amarillo, Texas. As the Management and Operating (M&O) contractor for Pantex, PXD has the responsibility for providing necessary psychological services to meet DOE requirements. As part of this responsibility, it is imperative to ensure the availability of a psychologist who can review the psychological qualifications for those individuals covered by the HRP and/or security program and clear them from a psychological standpoint for entry into or to maintain current status in those positions. It is the objective of PXD to assure compliance with all requirements for meeting federal regulation, state regulation and DOE orders to provide psychological service programs at Pantex. Roles and Responsibilities For 10 CFR 712, the psychologist must also be thoroughly familiar with the governing regulation and also be formally approved by DOE within one year of starting. Job responsibilities will include: Provide psychological review and evaluations, as required, consistent with current standard psychological practices and the governing regulations cited above. Conduct psychological assessments in an occupational health setting in accordance with 10 CFR 712 utilizing a structured interview survey and/or semi-structured interview process that may include administration of an approved objective personality test. This will include assessments for initial certifications and/or recertifications. Provide psychological information in accordance with 10 CFR 712 requirements to HRP Management Officials consistent with the conclusions established by Pantex Legal Counsel Upon request of management, assess the psychological fitness of HRP candidates and HRP certified individuals for HRP duties, including specific work settings, and recommend referrals as indicated.
