    Licensed social worker position for our alternative programing, housed at Lewis & Clark Academy, working with students in all grades in our alternate programs. Duties in this role will include case management and counseling, as well as partnerships and plans with parents, students and staff to foster healthy relationships and meet individual goals. Lewis and Clark Academy serves a diverse population and staff must demonstrate a high level of empathy, sensistivity and work well under pressure. This position receives district retirement contributions and is eligible for district paid health insurance. This is a 5-day, 7.5 hour position, scheduled on a 189 work calendar, with 6 paid holidays. Position begins August 2026. Starting pay is $33.05/hour, but previous social work experience (in schools or other related fields) will increase placement on the salary schedule. Applicants with a clinical license will receive an additional stipend amount. Masters Degree in Social Work required with a current license in the state of Missouri. Experience in the field or working with at-risk populations preferred. This position reports to the building principal(s). Purpose The job of Social Worker is done for the purpose/s of providing services to children and families; ensuring operation in compliance with local, state and/or federal requirements; providing information on services available to eligible students and families and conveying information regarding school and/or district activities, procedures and referring families to other agencies.
