Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Children and Young People's Practice Team Rate: £38.74 per hour
We have a vacancy for a 3-month contract (initially) within Midlothian children and young people's practice team. This role involves completing longer-term work with those aged 0-26.
As part of the Children and Young People's Practice Team, you will undertake a wide variety of work with children and young people from 0-26 years, including pre-birth assessments, child protection, and permanence planning. You will also undertake diversions from prosecution for young people and support continuing care and aftercare within children's services. The job holder needs to demonstrate an understanding or experience of:
Legal frameworks and the Local Authority's statutory responsibilities relevant to the service area
National and local practice, policy, procedure, and legislation relevant to the post (e.g., the Promise)
Knowledge and understanding of a range of systemic interventions and methodologies such as attachment, child development, systemic support, relationship-based approach, motivational interviewing techniques, and the impact of trauma.
