To work closely with the Event Childcare Coordinator in executing the schedule and curriculum of the classroom. Maintain control and have full responsibility for the classroom. Greet and communicate with parents in relation to their child.
This is a part-time position and this position is not a part of the James River Weekday Preschool.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Classroom Duties:
Function as Room leader or Assistant leader as directed.
Make sure the room is clean, stocked, and in order.
Always leave the room better than you found it.
Oversee the classroom (keep class on the schedule, make sure diapers are changed, that kids go to the bathroom, etc.).
Implement the schedule/curriculum in your classroom.
Assist parents with dropping off or picking up children.
Comply with all James River Kids' Policies and Procedures.
Two workers must be present in a room, at all times, including during regular childcare and events.
Injuries must be immediately reported to the Coach or Coordinator.
You are Security!!
Make sure each child has a computer-generated name tag and that parents fill out the sign-in sheet upon arrival to your class. List any allergies clearly.
At pick-up, verify that the number on the parent claim tag and the child's sticker match.
Please contact the Coordinator/Coach if there are any questions or issues.
Use the sign-in sheet in the room for attendance. Add any additional notes on the whiteboard on the wall. Add and subtract kids as they come and go. Sign-in sheets must always be with you if your class travels.
Dress Code:
A James River staff badge must be worn at all times.
Clothing must be modest, clean, and appropriate for childcare. Pants worn below the knee are required.
Absenteeism:
Contact the Coordinator as soon as possible if you are sick and unable to work.
Time off should be requested two weeks in advance of the absence.
If absenteeism is affecting your ministry team, a meeting will be scheduled with the Event Childcare Coordinator and the Early Childhood Director.

Duties of the SocialWorker (Program Coordinator) - HUD/VASH include, but are not limited to:
* Oversees all aspects of the HUD/VASH program including reviewing agreements between Section 8, landlords, Public Housing Authorities and the VA in establishing appropriate referral sites for HUD/VASH placements.
* Performs site visits of HUD/VASH apartments to ensure that Veterans reside in safe environments in compliance with local housing codes.
* Provides housing search assistance to HUD/VASH participants with rental vouchers and making regular home visits.

* Participates in the supervision, orientation/teaching of graduate social work/nursing students, students of other disciplines, and Medical Center personnel on the biopsychosocial aspects of homelessness.
* Works with VA Medical Center multi-disciplinary teams and community agencies to strive to develop more effective and efficient ways of delivering healthcare services to HUD/VASH Program Veterans.
* Conducts psychosocial assessments to determine needs of homeless Veterans.

Position Specific Responsibilities

• Participates as a member of the IDT, including development and implementation of the plan of care.

• Completes initial and ongoing psycho-social assessments for patients; identifies and addresses concerns/issues related to financial means, insurance, living arrangements/placement for long-term care, caregiver stressors, pre-bereavement and anticipatory grief, and community resource needs.

Education and/or Experience

Preferred - Master's degree in Social Work with one (1) year of social work experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred; and licensure if required by state rules.

Since opening, we have cared for more than 5,000 children and served more than 2,000 families.
What You'll Do:
Isabel's House seeks individuals dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect while providing a warm and loving home for children during their stay. Team members at Isabel's House provide residential care for children including engaging with children during curriculum and play, transportation to school and activities, preparing and participating in family style meals, documentation, cleaning/caring for the facility and other childcare related duties.
Child Advocate (Direct Care) full time and part time available, including working rotating weekends. Hours are 1:45pm - 10:15pm. Pay Rate: 17.00/hour
Must be 21 years old. At least one year of experience with children is preferred. Must be willing to obtain a Class E Driver's License to transport children.

Position Specific Responsibilities
• Explains hospice services and Medicare benefits to patients and families; obtains Informed Consent and Election of Benefits documents as requested.
• Submits appropriate documentation and paperwork to facilities at the completion of patient visits; documentation is completed and submitted timely according to company policy.
• Participates as a member of the IDT, including development and implementation of the plan of care.
• Provides psycho-social support and counseling services to the patient and family; supports the involvement of external counseling resources commensurate with patient/family needs and scope of practice.
• Assists in identifying the need for intervention of other IDT members.
• Effectively communicates patient and family needs to IDT.
• Collaborates with IDT to coordinate psycho-social care and support for the patient and family to ensure appropriateness, continuity, and quality of care.
• Maintains updated, comprehensive care plans which reflect current problems, goals and interventions for patients.
• Maintains respect for the family's environment and belief systems, and remains nondiscriminatory regarding age, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, physical or mental disability, and other personal matters.
• Completes initial and ongoing psycho-social assessments for patients; identifies and addresses concerns/issues related to financial means, insurance, living arrangements/placement for long-term care, caregiver stressors, pre-bereavement and anticipatory grief, and community resource needs.
• Facilitates placement in long-term care as warranted and monitors adjustment.
• Participates in care planning meetings at long-term care facilities.
• Supports and facilitates advance planning including living will/POA documents, funeral arrangements, memorial services, and body/organ donation.

Education and/or Experience
Required - Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other field related to social work with one (1) year of social work experience in a healthcare setting required; and licensure if required by state rules. Will require supervisory oversight by MSW for hospice patient care planning and counseling needs.
Preferred - Master's degree in Social Work with one (1) year of social work experience in a healthcare setting highly preferred; and licensure if required by state rules.
