We are seeking an experienced and licensed Nursing Home Administrator for our skilled nursing facility in Puyallup, Washington. The person in this role will oversee all aspects of our skilled nursing facility, including leadership over all facility associates and direction for overall facility operations. Position Summary
The Nursing Home Administrator provides leadership and direction for overall facility operations to provide quality patient care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Your duties will including overseeing key areas including financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations. Implements policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team. Manages budget to meet facility needs and division goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Complete month end close within designated timeframe by utilizing the month end daily task form and month end check list. Expectation for month end process include bad debt logs, refund tracking log, adjustment log, triple check, etc.
Maintains accurate and up to date records of business office functions including accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), admissions and census numbers, resident insurance information and financial files, bank deposits, petty cash and resident trust accounts.
Engage as part of the management team by actively contributing in problem solving, decision making, center and company-wide initiatives and attending management team meetings such as stand up, triple check, utilization review (UR) quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI), and other meetings as required.
Provides prompt, professional and courteous customer service to residents, family members, vendors, and outside representatives.
Review resident trust accounts, follow Avamere policy and procedures as well as state regulations, and month end reconciliation.
Assist in implementing the day-to-day functions of the accounting department.
Prepare monthly accrual logs of open invoices and reclasses as directed. Assist in preparing expense reports, petty cash reconciliation, etc.
Accounts payable (if required by facility)
Process and verify payment of invoices on a timely basis including verifying purchase orders and invoices match.
Verify invoices received for quantity, unit price, extensions and discounts.
Forward invoices to appropriate department personnel for approval for payment.
Code invoices with appropriate chart of account number to assure that expenses are distributed to the correct expense account.
Communicate with supplier/vendors concerning errors or questions on invoices.
Perform functions of computer/data processor efficiently and adequately.
Maintain and secure usernames and passwords.
Stay up to date on all programs and software that are utilized by Avamere.
Ensure that resident admission contracts are signed and appropriately filed per BOM admission checklist.
Payroll (if required by facility)
Assist in preparing payroll, time sheets, etc., as directed.
Maintain payroll to include maintenance of employee records, processing timecards, paychecks, computation of federal and state payroll taxes, miscellaneous deductions, etc., as directed.
Report known or suspected incidents of fraud, waste and or abuse to the Administrator.
Participation in all compliance training programs.
Attend and participate in facility mandatory in-service training programs as scheduled (e.g., OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, etc.).
Follow established safety regulations, to include fire protection/prevention, smoking regulations, infection control, etc.
Assist in preparing budget and financial information as directed.
Ensure that the resident's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints, are well established and maintained at all times.
Requirements and Qualifications
2 years medical billing experience including Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Activity Planning & Implementation:
Assist in developing and implementing a diverse range of activities, including games, exercise programs, arts and crafts, music sessions, and social events.
Create activity schedules and calendars, ensuring a variety of options to cater to different interests and abilities.
Prepare activity areas, gather necessary supplies, and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.
Resident Engagement:
Lead group activities and engage residents in one-on-one interactions.
Encourage participation in activities and provide support to residents who may need assistance.
Observe residents' responses to activities and report any changes in their needs or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
Documentation & Communication:
Maintain records of resident participation in activities, including attendance and feedback.
Communicate with other staff members, volunteers, and families to coordinate activities and ensure resident needs are met.
Other Duties:
Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
Assist with setup and cleanup of activity areas.
Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.
Prefer experience in long-term care, geriatric rehab, sub-acute and or critical care clinical setting.
Experience in electronic medical records documentation.
Must hold an active and unencumbered Driver's License.
Experience with volunteer work and or activities work with the geriatric population.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, flexible, patient and empathy working with the geriatric population.

The primary purpose of this position is to participate in developing plans of patient care for each resident and to review the resident's medical and nursing treatments to ensure they are in accordance with the resident's care plan and wishes.
Responsibilities:
Complete the planning, scheduling, and revising of the MDS, including the implementation of CAAs and triggers.
Review nurses' notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided and the resident's response to care and wishes.
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with all personnel to ensure the needs of the resident are met.
Make recommendations for new or updated procedures, policies, methods, education, reference material, and general nursing practices to ensure the highest level of quality patient care is given.
Participate in reviews of discharge plans and prepare reports for the Care Plan Committee as directed.
Attend continuing education programs to stay up to date with changes in your profession and participate in/provide leadership for in-service training for nursing personnel.
Delegate, train, evaluate, and support RN, LPN, and CNA personnel.
Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
Assist the director of nursing services and fill in as needed.
Make daily rounds to ensure all nursing personnel are performing their work assignments.
Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
1+ years of experience as a supervisor in a healthcare setting.
Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care communities.
Experience with electronic medical records and computer documentation systems.
