    We are currently considering candidates for a hospitality focused Activities Assistant. Candidates must have a desire to join a great team dedicated to providing outstanding and superior hospitality. We currently have the following shifts available: part-time. The Activities Assistant at The Glenview at Pelican Bay is responsible for assisting with the overall planning and implementation of a varied activity program designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Health Center residents. The Activities Assistant is responsible for the following services including but not limited to: Assists with planning, coordinating activities: current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one-to-one visits, as indicated. Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary. Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information. Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts. Provide materials as necessary. Make routine visits to residents and perform assistance with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary. Suggest activity changes or modifications to meet the specific needs and abilities of individual participants. Ensure that all charted activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident's response to the service. Assists with preparing and distributing the monthly calendar and newsletter. Skills/Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. One year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred. Background in music, art, drama, and dance therapy preferred. Many roles in the community require that we ask about your vaccination status. This could include MMR, chicken pox, hepatitis, flu and COVID-19 vaccine status. Clinical services are provided using a trauma-informed, evidence-based, racially & culturally affirming approach. Interventions include, but are not limited to, evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; care coordination; and crisis interventions. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate), to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client's treatment progress and changing problems/goals. • Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment and crisis services/interventions • Be actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serve • Approach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolving • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision. • Open and willing to receive constructive feedback • Maintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sources • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures. • Must have a strong knowledge of OMH Telehealth guidelines and adherence to the requirements of telehealth practice. • Other duties as assigned. Interventions include, but are not limited to, evaluations; individual, group and/or family therapy; care coordination; and crisis interventions. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and psychosocial assessments • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and family members (as appropriate), to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect client's treatment progress and changing problems/goals. • Provide individual, group, family, collateral treatment and crisis services/interventions • Be actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serve • Approach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolving • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, required training, and supervision. • Open and willing to receive constructive feedback • Maintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sources • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures. • Must have a strong knowledge of OMH Telehealth guidelines and adherence to the requirements of telehealth practice. • Other duties as assigned.
