Performs paraprofessional and some professional library tasks in the public library system.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
This classification requires the application of elementary principles of library and information science to assignments. The distinguishing features of this class include: direct public service reference and information responsibility, planning and presenting programs to the public, acting in charge in the absence of a manager as assigned, and independently solving routine library problems. May exercise functional supervision over the work of Public Services Associates and Aides. Librarians and/or Managers are available for assistance with difficult problems or situations.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Assists patrons on the selection, organization, and interpretation of library materials.
Answers reference and information questions and conducts research when needed.
Participates in collection development.
Monitors and suggests corrections to the online catalog.
Plans and presents various types of programs for all ages.

May exercise functional supervision over Library Assistants and Library Aides as delegated by the manager.
Assists with training new staff.

Performs circulation functions as needed.
Keeps abreast of current professional trends.
Promotes and maintains a thorough knowledge of library services and programs.

This position may be involved in technology programming, maker space programming and culinary literacy programming. Experience planning and presenting programs for all ages strongly preferred. Must have a track record of initiative, enthusiasm, and a passion for community engagement. The successful candidate will have excellent attendance habits and be comfortable working as an in-charge person as needed. Flexibility in scheduling required.

COACH RESPONSIBILITIES
Coach class sizes of 6 to 15 children, age groups range from roughly 12 months old to 11 years old

Must be able to ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum
Greet students as well as the parent(s)/guardian(s) individually prior to and at beginning of class

Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment - coaches may cover multiple miles in a shift moving through class, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds in weight.
Must be comfortable working "hands-on" with kids to ensure proper technique and ensure student safety.
Assist parents of students, ages 3 and younger, with the direction and flow of a class
Attend monthly center staff programming meetings to receive training for next' month's curriculum

Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers.
The Fitness Specialist is responsible for providing professional fitness services with the highest level of customer service to members and guests of the center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Provide fitness floor supervision and basic exercise instruction for members, guests and medically integrated program participants.2. Screen health history information and coordinate processes for the receipt of medical clearance as applicable.3. Schedule and perform all appointments for fitness assessments, orientations and follow up appointments complying with established protocols.4. Deliver and explain fitness assessment results with the provision of exercise guidelines and program recommendations to members. Discuss and make recommendations related to their individual goals.5. Arrive as first responder to all medical emergencies with urgency, bringing AED and additional first aid supplies. Complete incident report for all medical emergencies.6. Promote and effectively sell all ancillary services including, but not limited to personal training, medically integrated programs, wellness coaching and nutrition services.7. Maintain knowledge of all events and activities within the center.8. Perform facility rounds every 30-60 minutes including monitoring of all pool, locker rooms and fitness related areas.9. Perform opening and closing procedures on weekdays, weekends and holidays as scheduled.10. Maintain cleanliness of fitness areas and equipment, inspect equipment and upholstery and report any required maintenance or repair, removing the equipment from service until maintenance is completed.11. May conduct strength and conditioning group fitness classes with a current NCCA accredited certification. The class must not be a licensed format outside of the scope of their certification (Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Les Mills, MOSSA, BARRE, Aqua, Cycle, etc).12. Ability to lift 45 pounds.13. The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to center hours, work schedules and scheduling appointments for prospects and members.14. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree from a 4 year college or university in a health-related, exercise science, kinesiology, or physical education major required.• Prior part time work experience or part time internship in the fitness industry preferred.• CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire (Provided by Power Wellness)• Nationally recognized NCCA accredited certification preferred.• Must possess excellent inter-personal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service based manner.• Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.• Proficient computer skills.

MAIN FUNCTION: The Fitness Coach/Personal Trainer is a key member of the Fitness and Wellness Department Team. Must display a concentrated knowledge of specific health and wellness related matters including, but not limited to: creating exercise plans for varying age and ability levels, conducting pre-activity assessments, administering health and fitness focused programming and providing a structured system designed to support and motivate members in their wellness journey.
The person should be experienced in executing a comprehensive and individualized approach to whole-person health and the associated his is inclusive of delivering safe and effective exercise prescriptions designed to achieve an optimal state of wellbeing.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Minimum of one year of strong, progressive experience in exercise prescription and health/wellness coaching for healthy and special populations

Technologically savvy with the ability to function well within business management software systems, customer portals and member apps.

Applied (Programming)
Competent in executing a comprehensive and individualized approach to whole-person health and the associated service offering designed to achieve an optimal state of wellbeing.
Competent in executing a comprehensive pre-activity screening process, including executing the center's health risk stratification policy, on a daily basis.
Demonstrates ability to create, execute, and modify an effective and appropriate exercise prescription (and/or basic behavioral, lifestyle management plan as needed) based on the pre-activity screening findings for general and special populations.
Able to effectively document client assessments, progress, and achievement and professionally communicate such to the member/client.
Effectively instructs medically-integrated (Exercise is Medicine) group exercise classes as assigned
Proficient with conducting educational presentations and seminars on various health and wellness related topics including the multiple Dimensions of Wellbeing.
Committed to providing the best services possible by assuring self and staff maintain current certifications, attending continuing education seminars, and reviewing industry literature.
Administrative (Operations)
Demonstrates competency in managing and administering client scheduling, client contacts, member tracking software, and managing the My Wellness Cloud Portal (or similar).
Contributes to the center's quality assurance practices for all department services to ensure program delivery, as well as the environment, is safe and effective.
Able to effectively document client assessments, progress, and achievement and professionally communicate such to members and clients.
Committed to providing a clean and sanitary facility for all guests.
Management (Customer Relations/Team Performance)
Contribute to achieving a consistently excellent member experience resulting in high member satisfaction ratings and low member attrition.
Address all member and staff concerns regarding fitness services and provide prompt and member- friendly follow up.
Contribute to providing a consistent visible floor presence and continual active member engagement.
Provides general supervision for clients participating at the facility. Is committed to providing a safe, clean and organized environment and delivers customer service excellence.
Demonstrates the ability to safely operate and oversee all equipment and services related to the Fitness and Wellness Department or other assigned tasks.
Proficient and compliant with all current facility policies and procedures.
