Requirements:

Clinical Nurse Expert (CNE) - Part Time
Schedule: Tuesday & Wednesday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (2 days/week)
Position Summary
Under limited supervision, the Clinical Nurse Expert (CNE) applies advanced clinical expertise and influence across the three spheres of practice-patient/family, staff, and system-to transform healthcare delivery and improve patient outcomes. The CNE maintains current, evidence-based knowledge in their area of expertise and collaborates with interdisciplinary and interprofessional healthcare teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care across the continuum.
This role exemplifies the Professional Practice Model and requires strong collaboration with all levels of the organization, across the LifeBridge Health system, and with community partners. The CNE works under the direct supervision of the assigned Director.

Summary
SHIFT DETAILS: Part-Time; Two (2) 12-hour shifts weekly; Rotating shifts (7a-7:30p/7p-7:30a), will rotate weekend coverage every 4th weekend.
The Emergency Department Care Coordinator, in collaboration with the clinical team to include the medical provider, delivers navigation and coordination of services and interventions for identified patient's presenting to the Emergency Department. Registered Dietitian, Part-Time 2 - 8 Hour Shifts (Flexible Days) Thrive Program Clinical, Outpatient * Uses knowledge and skills to identify and re-evaluate nutrition risk throughout patients stay; independently performs the nutrition care process, including nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation, specific to age and medical status. In collaboration with team, develops an interdisciplinary nutrition plan of care for patients at high risk. Modifies plan of care according to own professional knowledge.
* Discusses plan of nutrition care (e.g. nutrition support, education, etc.) with patient/and or family; provides medical nutrition therapy as indicated; electronically documents nutrition plan of care and education provided.
* Provides guidance and training to nutritionists, dietetic technicians and interns in conducting nutrition risk assignments, assessments, and in providing nutrition care to patients.
* Collaborates with clinical nutrition team members, as well as outside dietitians and vendors, to facilitate smooth transition and continuity of care for patients, including upon hospital discharge.
* Actively contributes to teamwork and achievement of department goals; attends staff meetings and may support community events. Cooperates with peers and is flexible with cross coverage. Interacts with others in a polite, courteous, and supportive manner in alignment with UMMC standards of behavior.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field is required.
* Registration by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) is required.
* Current licensure in the state of Maryland as a Dietitian/Nutritionist required.
* 6 months of clinical experience is required as a Registered Dietitian.
* Prior completion of a Specialty Fellowship Program or Specialty Certification: e.g. CNSC, CDE, CSR, CSP, CSO, IBCLC, etc. or achievement of MS is required. Maintenance of 30 CEUs/2 years is required
