Primary Duties:
Performs CAT Scan Radiology studies. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient concerns. Performs CT techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetrics and gynecology scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning, and minor surgical procedures.
Performs IV Access and contrast injections per departmental policy.
Requests and will order supplies as necessary to always keep materials on hand.
Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered. Ensures quality images. Selects and operates equipment as directed.
Transports patients to CAT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities. Where applicable, refer to the competency validation documents for population(s) served.
Qualifications:
Training in computer-assisted tomography.
CT experience or completion of a certified CT program.
ARRT or NMTCB license with required paperwork to perform diagnostic CTs on file with the state.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Associate's degree preferred.

Primary Duties:

Complex diagnostic procedures may include valvular, congenital defects, pulmonary involvement, radial, brachial and neck approaches,O.R (Operating Room),portable procedures, and any research protocols.
Basic and complex interventional, angiography, and electrophysiological procedures. Patient care procedures such as sheath removal including IABP, temporary pacer and central venous and arterial catheters. Safe and efficient operation of equipment. Cross-training is mandatory. Performs in the role of data entry, generating accurate reports from diagnostic or interventional procedures. Assist in the orientation of employees and students as requested by management.
Patient transportation,effectivecommunication,and evaluation of patient status during the procedure:age and gender specific care, prep access site according to lab standard practice, and perform EKG lead placement, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.Procedural requirements:room preparation and breakdown to include fluid preparation withaccuratecontrast concentrations, stocking rooms, daily quality control checks, radiographic, hemodynamic and computer setup. Primary Duties:
Assistsphysicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an invasive procedure arena, specializing in the care of patients undergoing: Basic and complex diagnostic catheterization procedures on adult patients with known and suspected congenital andacquiredcardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Complex diagnostic procedures may include valvular, congenital defects, pulmonary involvement, radial, brachial and neck approaches,O.R (Operating Room),portable procedures, and any research protocols.
Basic and complex interventional, angiography, and electrophysiological procedures. Patient care procedures such as sheath removal including IABP, temporary pacer and central venous and arterial catheters. Safe and efficient operation of equipment. Cross-training is mandatory. Performs in the role of data entry, generating accurate reports from diagnostic or interventional procedures. Assist in the orientation of employees and students as requested by management.
Patient transportation,effectivecommunication,and evaluation of patient status during the procedure:age and gender specific care, prep access site according to lab standard practice, and perform EKG lead placement, blood pressure and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.Procedural requirements:room preparation and breakdown to include fluid preparation withaccuratecontrast concentrations, stocking rooms, daily quality control checks, radiographic, hemodynamic and computer setup. Prepare patient for x-rays, explains procedures, transfers patient to table, position patient, andassistspatient at end of procedure.Follow prescribed techniques in administrating general and specific x-rays. Adjusts equipment,determinesproper voltage, current, and desired exposure time. Responsibilities
Perform scanning procedures of various organs, localizing sites of pathological processes.
Order and administer IV and oral contrast, documenting procedures in the appropriate systems.
Complete examinations in a timely manner and ensure all necessary paperwork is processed.
Utilize GE and Siemens scanner equipment effectively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience; first-time travelers accepted.
MD license required prior to start.
Certification in BLS, ARRT, and ARRT advanced certification is mandatory.
Experience in abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction is required.
Preferred experience includes aspirations, biopsies, colography, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography, transplant studies, and PET/CT.
