Job Purpose: The Billing Supervisor will be responsible for oversight of proper submission of the claims for services performed by any provider not independently licensed in accordance with applicable regulations. The billing supervisor is responsible for reviewing documentation to ensure that supervises provide services in a manner consistent with Medicaid, KBHDID, and other third party payer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Sending correctional feedback to providers to improve adherence to billing standards.
Conducting monthly audits on non independently practicing clinicians as well as utilization reviews on independently licensed clinicians.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of a Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, health care administration or related field.
Possess an active and independent license in Kentucky such as:
physician, psychiatrist, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed psychologist, licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional clinical counselor, licensed psychological practitioner, certified psychologist with autonomous functioning, licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed professional art therapist or licensed behavior analyst

PRIORITY FUNCTIONS:
Serve as a teacher/mentor, providing person centered-training, instruction, and assistance to support individuals to achieve desired outcomes and develop independent living skills.
Provide flexible, individualized supports and assistance with the following: cooking, meal planning, shopping, budgeting, bill paying, banking, laundry, self advocacy, solving day-to-day problems, developing friendships, interacting with neighbors, household tasks and maintenance, recreational planning, accessing community resources, personal care, emotional support, medication administration, and transportation.
Assist individuals to develop and maintain positive relationships (i.e. family, friends, neighbors, community members, businesses, clubs, civic organizations etc.)
Assist individual to address Residential objectives (as documented on the Individual Support Plan) and document accordingly.
Assist individuals with personal care needs (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, dental hygiene, shaving, eating etc.)
Assist with medical appointments, ordering/refilling medications, and proper medication administration. Follow all medical, dietary, and documentation requirements
Make introductions and serve as a bridge between individuals and community members and facilitate meaningful community participation/involvement.
Promote, teach and model personal growth and self-esteem (i.e. personal grooming, table manners, social skills, conflict resolution, etc.)
Conduct oneself morally, and ethically, serving as a positive role-model at all times.
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serve as an advocate for individuals within the community and agency and assist individuals to become self-advocates.
Provide crisis intervention as needed. Utilize redirection and de-escalation techniques and adhere to LifeSkills restraint-free policy.
Use personal vehicle to transport individuals to and from various community settings of their choice. (Must maintain current license and vehicle insurance.)
Drive, operate lift, and be responsible for care and maintenance of company-owned wheelchair accessible vehicles (if applicable.)
Promote home and community safety and administer fire drills and other disaster/evacuation plans as needed.
Assist with training new residential staff as needed.
Actively work to promote an atmosphere of “teamwork,” goodwill, and positive work environment within the residence and among team members.
Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and timely (i.e. incident reports, behavior reports, time sheets, summary notes, MAR's, etc.)
Assure confidentiality of individual records and adhere to agency policy concerning HIPAA regulations.
Attend all scheduled staff meetings, in-services, Individualized Support Plan meetings, and Residential Team meetings. Follow proper procedures to report absence and to make up required meetings
Maintain ongoing communication with Edgewood Program Manager, other team members (i.e SCL Director, Behavior Specialist, Speech Therapist, Occupational/Physical Therapist, Day Center staff, etc.) as needed.
Complete all training updates and annual TB screening by required deadlines.
Utilize the “on call” system to report all incidents and/or med errors, and/or to obtain advice as needed.
Obtain monthly work schedule, work scheduled shifts and follow proper procedures for absences, tardiness, and switching of shifts.

Conducts MPW assessment, including a face-to-face visit with the individual in the home within the 14 day deadline, or other deadline, as established by state criteria. Provides potential MPW recipients and/or family members with information about the MPW and available case management providers. Arranges for submission of the MPW evaluation to the Quality Improvement Organization, which determines the Level-of-Care approval or denial, and the assessment and/or reassessment to the respective MPW provider upon approval of the Level of Care. Assists the individual with the appeal procedures in the event of a Level-of-Care denial and upon the request of the individual or his or her family.

EDUCATION
