QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Associate in applied sciences required. Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Human Services or equivalent Preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years' banking or financial services experience required. Must have strong financial acumen and a working knowledge of community resources. Expertise in MEDICAID and other benefit progress preferred. Prior experience working with and advocating for older adults preferred.

Statement of the Job
The Early Head Start (EHS) Family Worker is responsible for the programs' parent involvement. In partnership with FEC staff, families will drive the planning, development, and sustainable co‑ownership of the centers. Families who participate in the FEC programming will be encouraged to share their expertise by volunteering at the center and given meaningful opportunities to engage with neighbors and peers. The goal of the FEC is to strengthen families' protective factors and build community connections, capacity, and resilience.
Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, provide support, and collaborate with a team of local parents, subject experts, and other residents to deliver monthly events and activities (offerings) held at the FEC.
Foster a culture of respect built on the belief that families and communities possess the inherent strengths and knowledge needed to succeed given the right access to opportunities and support.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to connect participants to service providers and other programs that have resources to offer.

Use Appreciative Inquiry and other strength‑based tools to engage community members in co‑designing offerings.
Create monthly calendars, website content, and other outreach tools to promote and document offerings.
Participate and engage with the FEC team in learning collaboratives facilitated by ACS with other FEC teams from across the city.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven programs working directly with children, youth, and families.
Reside in or near the FEC community, or reside close enough to arrive promptly, in the event of an emergency.
Bi‑Lingual either /Mandarin &/or Cantonese is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to warmly connect with and engage children, youth, and adults individually and in groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with the community and its assets and resources, such as other programs, services, supports, local civic groups, and community leaders.
Experience in developing and running a group, a club, or coaching a team preferred.

CASES is currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Case Coordinator for our Pretrial Services Case Management Team. Rapidly after release into the program, the Clinical Case Coordinator conducts Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions that will be required under the supervision plan. The Clinical Case Coordinator assists participants to comply with supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case. The Clinical Case Coordinator will conduct ongoing service need assessments with participants and develop collaborative service plans addressing identified needs and goals.
The goal is to increase engagement in community treatment services and support participants to achieve their self-identified goals for treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and crime-free community integration. Program participants include youth and young adults, people with substance use disorders and mental illnesses, and individuals who are homeless. SRP participants have not been found guilty of a crime and are not mandated to engage in treatment or other services. This requires staff to tactfully deliver approaches to help participants tap into their intrinsic motivation to leverage their strengths and skills for meaningful life improvements while fulfilling all court requirements.

Work collaboratively with the court and other pretrial staff team to facilitate and ensure caseload participants' successful completion of mandated supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case.
Review legal and court screening documentation and work with participants to analyze their offending behavior patterns, identifying behavioral changes, need for implementation of supports that may reduce likelihood of any pretrial arrests.
On an ongoing basis, conduct service need assessments with participants to examine psychosocial needs and problems, including the severity of mental and substance use disorders, problems affecting participation, engagement, and continuity in supervision and treatment and individual motivation for treatment.
Link participants to treatment based on their eligibility, preferences and needs and provide escort to community services.
Maintain collaborative relationships with community providers (supported housing providers, Health Homes, care management programs, addiction treatment and mental health providers, peer-run providers, education, vocational. training and employment services providers, legal services providers, medical care providers, and family providers).
Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor.

The RHI work environment is characteristic of a typical indoor office/program environment and the noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
While performing administrative duties the employee will operate a computer and other office equipment. During this time the employee may sit or stand at will. During youth program hours, there is more movement (e.g. standing and walking, moving tables and chairs to set up the room).
RHI provides a hybrid work arrangement for employees, when possible. In this role, a hybrid schedule may be arranged when direct services are not in session.
This job is primarily based on-site at RHI's main program office in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate will either be a resident of Red Hook or one of its neighboring communities or will be within reasonable commuting distance of RHI's main program office.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
RHI strives to offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our core values and commitment to our employees. This is a part-time, non-exempt position, requiring 15 hours per week on-site from 3pm-6pm Monday through Thursday with remote work on Fridays, hours, based on the program schedule. The salary is $20/hour. Facilitate programs by leading at least two middle school groups and one high school group per program cycle (three cycles per year).

The RHI work environment is characteristic of a typical indoor office/program environment and the noise level is generally quiet to moderate.
While performing administrative duties the employee will operate a computer and other office equipment. During this time the employee may sit or stand at will. During youth program hours, there is more movement (e.g. standing and walking, moving tables and chairs to set up the room).
RHI provides a hybrid work arrangement for employees, when possible. In this role, a hybrid schedule may be arranged when direct services are not in session.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Job Title: Case Coordinator, Bronx SRP
CASES (Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services) is currently seeking a Case Coordinator for our Bronx Pretrial Services team. Rapidly after release into the Supervised Release Program (SRP), the Case Coordinator conducts Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions required under the supervision plan. In this role, you will help participants comply with their supervision appointments and court appearances during their legal case's pendency. You will also conduct ongoing service need assessments with participants and develop collaborative service plans addressing identified needs and goals. You will ensure participants receive services that are strengths-based, gender-specific, and culturally sensitive while adhering to the core principles of risk, need and responsivity to reduce recidivism, increase engagement in community treatment services and support participants to achieve their self-identified goals for treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and crime-free community integration.
CASES' Supervised Release Program (SRP) annually diverts 5,500 people otherwise facing pretrial detention at Rikers Island to community-based supervision and support services. Program participants include youth and young adults, people with substance use disorders and mental illnesses, and individuals who are homeless. SRP participants have not been found guilty of a crime and are not mandated to engage in treatment or other services. This requires staff to tactfully deliver approaches to help participants tap into their intrinsic motivation to leverage their strengths and skills for meaningful life improvements while fulfilling all court requirements.
This position is based in our Bronx Community Office and fieldwork in the larger NYC community as needed to assist participants.
Salary: The salary for the Case Coordinator role is $59,410.00 per year.
Shift Hours: The Case Coordinator position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Location Address: 424 East 147 Street, 1st Floor, Bronx, New York, 10455 and fieldwork in the larger NYC community as needed to assist participants.
Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid, Applicant will have one remote day per week after successfully completing the orientation period.
What you will be doing:
Provide supervision and community-based services to a caseload of pretrial participants.
Rapidly (within 24-48 hours of release) conduct Supervision.
Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions, the reporting schedule (as assigned by level of recidivism risk), and the mandatory methods of communication (face-to-face, telephone, and texts) that will be required under the participant's supervision plan.
Work collaboratively with the court and other pretrial staff team to facilitate and ensure caseload participants' successful completion of mandated supervision appointments and court appearances during the pendency of their legal case.
Review legal and court screening documentation and work with participants to analyze their offending behavior patterns, identifying behavioral changes, need for implementation of supports that may reduce likelihood of any pretrial arrests.
On an ongoing basis, conduct service need assessments with participants to examine psychosocial needs and problems, including the severity of mental and substance use disorders, problems affecting participation, engagement, and continuity in supervision and treatment and individual motivation for treatment.
Link participants to treatment based on their eligibility, preferences and needs and provide escort to community services.
Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor.
Any other duties as required by the Program Director and other supervisory staff.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience, or alternative an associate's degree with a minimum of three years' experience working in human services with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders and involvement in the criminal justice system.
