What You'll Do
As a Residential RN at The Arc Lexington, you'll play a vital role in coordinating and overseeing healthcare services for people we support. You'll complete nursing assessments, provide direct care, and collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure individualized health needs are met.
You'll also serve as a resource and mentor to LPNs and direct support staff, offering guidance, education, and support to promote safe practices and positive outcomes. Most importantly, you'll help people maintain their health, independence, and quality of life while respecting their choices and individuality.

QSAC is looking for dedicated RegisteredNurses (RN) to support our Residential and Day Habilitation programs providing services to people with autism in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island. Current NY State RN license is required and OPWDD knowledge and experience is highly preferred.
Part Time salary range for this position is $42.00-$44.00 an hour.
Full Time annual salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000.
QSAC has flexible schedules for part-time (PT) and full-time (FT) RN's!
Responsibilities
Health & Administration
Oversee general health issues for people with autism in Residential programs or day programs
Monitor medication and medical records for people receiving services
Consult with MD's to ensure optimal medical treatments are provided to people being supported
Supervise direct support professional (DSP) staff administration of medication to people receiving services
Ensures medical follow up (i.e. appt.'s, labs obtain prescribed medication, etc.) occurs in a timely manner
Ensures individuals are receiving prescribed medications
Maintains medical records
Attends internal team meetings as scheduled
Qualifications & Work Experience
1-2 years RN experience highly preferred
Valid NYS RN license in good standing required

Notice: This position reports to the Call Center Department located at the Corporate Office in Commerce, CA. This position does NOT work remotely.
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Triage Nurse is responsible for patient triage via the nurse phone line and Call Center agents, in collaboration with Clinic Administrators, providers, and other departments. The Triage Nurse provides quality patient care in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Principal Responsibilities:
Responds to triage calls on the nurse phone line, assessing patient needs and providing appropriate guidance.
Manages inquiries on the pharmacy phone line, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Conducts patient assessments over the phone, directing them to emergency rooms (ERs), urgent care centers, home care advice, or scheduling physician appointments as needed.
Determines urgency based on a telephone assessment and the patient's medical history in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Utilizes clinical decision-making tools, including algorithms that replicate physician logic, to guide scheduling decisions.
Escalates high-risk cases involving symptoms such as chest pain, abdominal pain, or severe headaches, ensuring immediate ER referral or ambulance coordination.
Provides home care guidance to patients who do not require emergency services.
Maintains thorough documentation of consultations and treatments in the NextGen Electronic Health Record system.
Coordinates appointments for non-emergency patients and consults with physicians as necessary.
Acts as a resource for patient inquiries when designated as "Ask a Nurse," addressing routine questions such as vaccination schedules.
Serves as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff, promoting best practices.
Manages workload effectively, prioritizing tasks and completing them promptly.
Assists with medical chart reviews and compiles data for audits and reports.
Supports policy development, collaborating with the Managing Nurse to establish nursing protocols and procedures.
Ensures clear, concise, and accurate triage documentation.

Requirements:
Licensed by the State of California as a RegisteredNurse.
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required .
At least one year of experience in an ambulatory care setting.
Experience working with patients and staff from diverse socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer skills and word processing.
Ability to travel between sites.

Job Description
The Residential RN is responsible for monitoring the physical and mental health of our residents and implementing medical procedures.
Major Responsibilities/Activities/Tasks
Work with Pediatrician/Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to address health care concerns
Treat all minor illnesses; provide emergency first aid when necessary and notify Physician of all acute illnesses and emergencies requiring immediate medical attention
Arrange clinic appointments for Pediatrician and all medical referrals including intake, annual and discharge physical and dental examinations for each resident
Inform Nursing Supervisor, Residential Treatment Facility Medical Director and Pediatrician of results of all clinic visits
Monitor and complete all ongoing medical charts and immunization records in a timely fashion
Complete necessary medical reports for outside agencies or schools
Implement prescribed orders for treatment, medication and referral; administer all prescription medications for residents; which includes maintaining daily documentation of all medication administration records
Support living unit staff as required
Actively participate in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training and updates, and implement lower level techniques effectively and appropriately
Uses physical intervention appropriately and safely
Writes event reports correctly and in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements:
RegisteredNursing Degree from a recognized accredited school of nursing
Must be registered and licensed in NY State as an RN
Ability to relate well to children and other staff members
Possess a valid New York State Driver's License and continued automobile insurance
Ability to deescalate and manage difficult behaviors of children
Ability to initiate or participate in physical interventions when necessary
Competitive Pay Rate of $36 per hour based on experience
Schedule: Per diem, days 6AM to 6:30PM; overnights 6PM to 6:30AM; weekends and holidays

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
Current NYS RN license
Knowledge of older adult psychiatric rehabilitation preferred.
Experience in working with chronic populations in the context of a rehab and recovery model.
