Job Purpose: - The BA Emergency Evaluator (POOL) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing critical assessment and evaluation services in emergency situations. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals experiencing behavioral health crises by delivering prompt and effective evaluations and recommendations for appropriate interventions. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive evaluations of individuals in emergency situations to assess behavioral health needs. - Collaborate with medical and mental health professionals to determine the most appropriate course of action for individuals in crisis. - Provide clear and concise documentation of evaluations and recommendations for treatment or intervention. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies during the evaluation process. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in emergency behavioral health evaluation and intervention. - Offer support and guidance to individuals and their families during crisis situations. - Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance evaluation skills and knowledge. - Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure the highest quality of care and service delivery. - Respond promptly to emergency calls and situations, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and empathy. Qualifications Required Education: - Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution. Required Experience: - Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably in crisis intervention or emergency services. - Proven track record of conducting assessments and evaluations in high-pressure environments. - Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and evaluate emergency situations effectively. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients, families, and other professionals. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. - Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software. - Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. - Knowledge of local resources and referral processes for mental health services.
