Your Core Responsibilities: * Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks including thorough cleaning. * Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills. * Ensure health, safety, and well-being of individuals, including medication administration (if certified). * Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports. * Encourage community integration and participation in social and recreational activities. * Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed. * Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues. * Complete required trainings, certifications, and ongoing professional development. What You Bring: * Education & Experience: No prior experience required-ideal candidates are dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy. * Certifications & Requirements: * Must meet Lifetime Assistance's Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts). * First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain). * Must pass all required background checks and clearances (e.g., SCR, Fingerprinting, SEL, MHL). * Skills & Competencies: * Ability to follow individualized plans and safety protocols. * Basic computer literacy for documentation in the Electronic Health Record. * Clear written and verbal communication skills. * Strong problem-solving and adaptability.     The Senior DSP will provide oversight to staff working within a 12 person or less ICF or IRA. In the absence of the Residence Manager, the Senior DSP is responsible for oversight of daily shift operations, coordination of the scheduling of staff, completion of all records and reports pertaining to the shift they are leading. The Senior DSP will serve as a mentor for new residence counselors and will assist in on-site orientation and training. The Senior DSP will participate in Agency activities under the supervision of the Program Manager. At times they may become aggressive and /or violent. While the Agency does provide specialized training for handling Individuals when they become aggressive and/or violent, the Agency cannot guarantee the safety of its employees who come in contact with Individuals. This condition exists whether the employee is directly or indirectly assigned to Individuals. Employees assume the risk of working with our Individuals. Function: Report to the Assistant Residential Supervisor and Residential Supervisor. Assist the facility nurse and psychologist with providing medical services to the Individuals: Aid the nurse and psychologist in the coordination of medical appointments i.e. audiology, dentistry, neurology, ophthalmology, physical examinations, Laboratory work, psychiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and any other clinical services as per the Individual's needs. Schedule and attend clinic appointments; communicate results to the nurse, psychologist and/or residence manager including but not limited to any medication changes, need for consents, need for specimens; post follow-up appointments on the clinic calendar in the facility. Serve as the liaison between the nurse, psychologist, residence manager or assistant manager. Coordinate scheduling of follow-up appointments and ensure follow-up visits are carried out under the direction of the nurse. Serve as an advocate for the Individual's by obtaining the best possible care at the clinics, hospitals and doctor's office. Essential Functions: Prepare clinic consults and other required paper work for appointments in the absence of the nurse under the direction of the nurse. Coordinate and attend medical appointments under the direction of the nurse and/or residence manger. Maintain sufficient medication supply and equipment in the absence of the nurse. Schedule medical appointments and record appointments on the clinic calendar. Report to the facility nurse, psychologist, and the manager and /or assistant manager regarding appointments and follow-up information. Communicate with day programs regarding Individual's medical appointments and changes in medical condition i.e. emergency room visits, under the direction of the nurse. Inform management if any additional supports are needed for the Individual's medical appointments.
