Holiday World RV lift driver job description

Can you back a trailer into a tight spot? Or pull a 5th wheel into a repair bay? Can you also operate a forklift? Then we may have a job for you! Our busy RV dealership needs an RV porter and forklift operator who can safely move large recreational vehicles around our property—in and out of service bays, onto storage lots, etc. Big vehicles are a big responsibility, so only serious inquiries with great skills need apply. Pay between 13 and 15 dollers an hour.

Job Responsibilities

  • Move RV inventory of varying size safely around the dealership lot
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of RV inventory, lot and company property
  • Provide support for service and sales functions as needed

Education and/or Experience

Must have experience operating forklifts and must be comfortable driving RVs of every size and configuration (5th wheel, bumper pull, Class-A, Class-C, etc.).

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and commensurate with Fortune 500 companies.

  • $15.50 per hour
  • 1st shift (7:00am- 3:00pm) or 2nd shift (3:00pm- 11:00pm) Monday- Friday, with possible overtime
  • Responsible for the accurate storing, shipping, and receiving of product to meet company standards of safety, security and productivity. Participate in safety meetings. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Shipping/Receiving - Load, unload and properly document inbound and out bound shipments
  • Storing - Move product to storage areas with proper equipment and efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area
  • Order Picking - Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped, Check and count freight for accuracy, damage and infestation, document and report damaged to warehouse management.
  • Equipment - Operator material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Complete the Forklift Daily Inspection Form prior to use.


Fork Lift / Clamp Truck Operator Qualifications:

  • Diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to read write and understand basic English, count accurately, do simple math and write English legibly.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
  • Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights, Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
