We are currently seeking a full-time Outreach Specialist to be based in our Emergency Shelter on Pittsburgh's Northside. Based in the Women's Day Center, this position assists and cares for the street homeless that enter the Center on a regular basis, meeting the women's immediate needs and providing Christian hospitality and safety. Will work collaboratively with other organizations and actively seek to build relationships with the homeless and influence them to move out of the streets into our recovery program.

Job Responsibilities
* Establishes service plans and manages cases for the transient homeless in the Day Center. Addresses guests' immediate needs and helps in their longer-term planning.
* Works with and training volunteers for service in Outreach.
* Works with a team that includes other organizations and Light of Life staff to address general homeless issues and build relationships with those who live in the street.
* Creates and sustains partnerships with other social service agencies.
* Gathers and records data for qualitative and quantitative analysis for both the County's homeless management system and Light of Life's in-house data management system.

Works with a team that includes other organizations and Light of Life staff to address general homeless issues and build relationships with those who live in the street.
Creates and sustains partnerships with other social service agencies.
Gathers and records data for qualitative and quantitative analysis for both the County's homeless management system and Light of Life's in-house data management system.
Provides input into all Outreach issues.
Assists with transporting guests to other facilities or partner social service agencies.

Requirements:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education/Experience
Associate's degree in social work or related field preferred.
2-3 years counseling/case management experience preferred.
CPR/First-Aid certification preferred.
Previous experience working in human services preferred.
Knowledge of drug and alcohol and mental illness helpful.
