The goal of the Family Enrichment Center (FEC) is to enhance child and family well‑being by providing access and support to enable the strengthening of family protective factors inherent in its residents and community by building mutual community connections, capacity, and resilience.
In partnership with FEC staff, families will drive the planning, development, and sustainable co‑ownership of the centers. Families who participate in the FEC programming will be encouraged to share their expertise by volunteering at the center and given meaningful opportunities to engage with neighbors and peers. The goal of the FEC is to strengthen families' protective factors and build community connections, capacity, and resilience.
Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, provide support, and collaborate with a team of local parents, subject experts, and other residents to deliver monthly events and activities (offerings) held at the FEC.
Foster a culture of respect built on the belief that families and communities possess the inherent strengths and knowledge needed to succeed given the right access to opportunities and support.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to connect participants to service providers and other programs that have resources to offer.
Engage groups of local community members of all ages and guide them through the co‑designed activities and programming of the FEC.
Manage enrollment and attendance at offerings and events.
Care for and attend to the physical space of the FEC program to ensure it is safe, welcoming, organized, and appealing to participants and community members.
Handle inventory and ordering/purchasing responsibilities to keep the site running and ensure needed food and supplies are stocked for offerings.
Effectively utilize tracking and reporting mechanisms and accurately enter data and run reports in the FEC website and other agency databases as needed to obtain program‑level data, compiling statistical or written reports for agency and external stakeholders.
Manage the FEC website to communicate with and engage members.
Use Appreciative Inquiry and other strength‑based tools to engage community members in co‑designing offerings.
Create monthly calendars, website content, and other outreach tools to promote and document offerings.
Participate and engage with the FEC team in learning collaboratives facilitated by ACS with other FEC teams from across the city.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven programs working directly with children, youth, and families.
Reside in or near the FEC community, or reside close enough to arrive promptly, in the event of an emergency.
Bi‑Lingual either /Mandarin &/or Cantonese is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to warmly connect with and engage children, youth, and adults individually and in groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with the community and its assets and resources, such as other programs, services, supports, local civic groups, and community leaders.
Experience in developing and running a group, a club, or coaching a team preferred.
Experience caring for children (as a parent, guardian, relative, neighbor, or babysitter) preferred.
Ability to perform multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced, challenging, and constantly changing environment.
Must have a commitment to work from a trauma‑informed, strength‑based, youth and family development perspective.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, attending community events as needed.

SIMULATION SPECIALIST PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Simulation Specialist role will be responsible for assisting the lead Simulation Manager in facilitating and managing both our middle school learning programs JA BizTown and JA Finance Park for 6th and 7th grade students. There are 6 categories of peer-support components. Any of the below services can be provided either individually or combined as the care/service plan indicates their need. They include:

Assisting recipients in participating in shared decision making.
Use Peer Bridgers to assist with linkages to and systems navigation within behavioral health and allied human services systems to access appropriate care.
Benefits advisement and planning.
Development of psychiatric advance directives (PAD).
Assistance advocating for self-directed services.
Outreach and Engagement:
Companionship and modeling of recovery lifestyle, including participation in recovery activities that might be beyond the scope of treatment providers (e.g., coffee/tea at a coffee shop, attending a court date, attending an appointment, attending or participating in a recovery celebration event or wellness activity).
Raising the awareness of existing services, pathways to recovery and helping a person to remove barriers that exist for access to them.
Interim visits with individuals and/or their families after discharge from Hospital
Emergency Rooms, Detox Units or Inpatient Psychiatric Units to facilitate community tenure and increased readiness while waiting for the first post-discharge visit with a community based mental health provider, treatment provider or appropriate system of care. “Outreach” is a face-to-face service with a patient and/or their family provided by clinical staff or a peer advocate for the purpose of increasing motivation to participate in clinically indicated treatment for chemical dependence. Individuals and/or families identified for this intervention must be current patients who have failed to appear for sessions at the program and are judged to be at risk for prematurely discontinuing treatment or persons transitioning from another Office-certified program.
Self-help Tools:
Assist selecting and utilizing self-directed recovery tools such as Relapse Prevention Planning.
Assist selecting and utilizing the things that bring a sense of passion, purpose and meaning into his/her life and coaching the person as they identify barriers to engaging in these activities.
Assist individuals to help connect to natural supports that enhance the quality and security of life
Connecting individuals to “warm lines.”
Connections to self-help groups in the community.
Peer Recovery Supports and Peer Counseling:
Recovery education and counseling for individuals and their family members.
One to one peer support. Person centered goal planning that incorporates life areas such as community connectedness, physical wellness, spirituality, employment, self-help.
Assisting with skills development that guides people towards a more independent life.
Individuals in continuing care may receive counseling or peer services once per month.
Learning and practicing new skills.
Helping peers self-monitor their progress.
Modeling effective coping skills.
Transitional Supports:
Bridging from jail or prison to an individual's/family's home (note: that peer supports while in Jail are not Medicaid reimbursable).
Bridging from institutions (e.g. inpatient or residential facilities) to an individual's/family's home (note: that peer supports while in an institution are not Medicaid reimbursable).
Bridging from general hospitals to an individual's/family's home.
Bridging from an individual's/family's home to the community.
Arrangements for appropriate services (appointment dates, contact names, and numbers, etc.) are discussed and made with the individual/family, their significant others and/or family prior to the planned discharge date. Documentation of this information will be included in the individual's/family's case record. Where an individual and/or family is going from a bedded service to another service, a warm hand-off or peer service is considered where possible.
Pre-crisis and Crisis Support Services:
Providing companionship when an individual or family in an emergency room or crisis unit or preparing to be admitted to detox, residential or other service to provide non-clinical support.
Providing peer support in the individual's/family's home or in the community to support them before a crisis or relapse.
Developing crisis diversion plans or relapse prevention plans.

Overview
Greater St. Louis Area Scouting has been helping young people become leaders since 1911. We run summer camps, outdoor programs, and training courses to teach important skills and values to nearly 30,000 kids each year. As a Print Production and Design SupportSpecialist, you'll work with our Print Shop Supervisor to support daily operations of the print shop, including preparing and producing printed materials, providing basic design support, maintaining equipment and supplies, and assisting with mail processing and shipping. Training will be provided.
What You'll Do Print Production
Operate printers and finishing equipment (cutting, folding, binding, etc.).
Prepare print jobs according to instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Load paper stock, collate, and assemble print projects.
Perform routine maintenance and monitor service needs for equipment.
Maintain inventory of print and office supplies.
Design Support
Make basic edits to print projects submitted to the print shop.
Prepare files for print by converting formats, adjusting layout, or resizing as needed.
Use programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Canva, or Adobe Acrobat to assist with simple layout adjustments. (Extensive graphic design skills are not required.)
Mail Processing and Shipping
Process mail lists through postal software, including merging, cleaning, and correcting addresses.

Job Description

Residential SupportSpecialists work one-on-one and in groups with youth experiencing mental health challenges. Within the residential setting, you will assist the clients as they learn and practice skills related to what matters most to young people: relationships, school success, recreational activities, health and wellness, early career experiences, and day-to-day living. You will also ensure safety by helping youth regulate and safely express their emotions, including using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) skills. During an average day, you will teach independent living skills like hygiene and housekeeping, help residents prepare meals, model relationship building skills, and coach youth on coping skills.
Not only do you help clients develop key independent living skills, you are also fostering a safe and inviting living environment by regularly cleaning the residence. You will see their progress and document their experiences, success with medication management, and recovery process as they transition to adulthood.
To succeed in this role, you need:

SUMMARY
The Support Services Specialist position's primary responsibility is to monitor and report on the company's inventory. This position devises ways to optimize inventory control, adequate product stock, and anticipate future needs. Also, serving clients enrolled in the Support Services Veterans & Family Program (SSVF). The position is responsible for processing approved support service requests and issuing corporate checks through an accounting software program. Position is responsible for learning grant & expense codes, learning the SSVF eligibility criteria, and any and all limitations of each category of support service available. Position is responsible for compiling support service requests with other applicable documentation and maintaining all files and documents for auditing purposes. Position is responsible for providing checks to case managers for client support (funds for client transportation, clothing, rental services, bus tickets, etc.). Position is responsible for assisting with data entry into the HMIS/MIS systems as well as being part of a receptionist pool to perform such duties as necessary. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary for corporate objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and submit support service requests as needed.
This position is the point of contact for approximately 15 Case Managers that will submit support service needs for their clients. Support Services will be issued at least once a day if not twice.
There will be times that support services will be of an urgent matter which will require processing requests immediately. In this capacity this position must be able to communicate effectively with Case Managers, Directors, and when necessary, with outside agencies or vendors. Follow up with Case Managers on original receipts will be an ongoing task.
Work cooperatively and effectively with all staff in providing support services to clients.
Be versed in all the program requirements and regulatory limitations and eligibility of the support services program.
Maintain files on all support service requests processed thru this desk and coordinate with the Case Managers as necessary to assure all documents are included for audit review.
Coordinates with Case Managers for the purpose of delivering the check for services requested and assure that it confirms with established guidelines.
Will enter the vendor code, expense code, and other coding as necessary in the data system that corresponds to the category of support service requested.
Ability to work independently and cooperatively.
Remain flexible and adapt to changing program needs.
Operate standard office equipment as necessary.
Data Entry into the HMIS/MIS system may be required of this position.
This position will participate in the receptionist pool as necessary.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Some college education is preferred.
Must have 4 years' experience in responsible clerical & support service to clients. Any additional work experience, especially work with social service agencies in a capacity similar to this position will be considered a plus.
Candidate has the ability to maintain relationships with suppliers.

Must have access to reliable transportation
Must have a current Texas driver's license at all times
Must have applicable automobile liability insurance at all times
